Would you ask them to leave? Or let them stay and hear the word of God preached? Or just what would you do? Since things like that are possible this day and time.

They could stay, but would have to change their sinful ways and repent and stop living that life, or have to go esle where. The Chruch has an obligation to not only share the word of God, but inforce it.

There was a man and a woman that were both married to other people, but went to church and was having an affair with different other people from their church. The pastor talke to them privately and let them know that they had to stop that behavior or they will be evicted from that chruch.

Now this was done in priviate. The woman refused and told the pastor that it was none of his business. He told her that she was no longer allowed to attend His church if she did not repent of that sinful lifestyle.

This foolish woman took what was done in priviate, and called the TV stations, and had it aired all over the state. Now how stupid of her was that?

If you deliberatly refuse to change your sinful ways, that church does not have to keep you as a member.

Hebrews 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Let them stay and hear the word of God. That is a no brainer. Asking someone to leave like that would give that person hard feelings about church and I feel that everyone has the right to attend services. My Grandmother always said that every tub has to sit on its own bottom. Because this person doesn't live like you think they should, that isn't your problem. You are going to have to pay for what you do and they are going to pay for what they do.

How could someone even consider doing something like that.

The Godly thing would be to let them stay so that they could listen to the words of the minister and be able to pray. You don't put people out of Churches! If any church ever did that I would never want to attend that church ever! The people that go to church are imperfect human beings. So who are they to sit in judgment of anyone. You'd be surprised of some of the dirt that hidden in most of their closets. Church members have their issues too.

We'd love the person as a person. Sure we may not agree with the sin or the lifestyle but we still accept the sinner aka the person. By the way we've had gay men and women in my church over the years. When they can't take the heat in the kitchen so to speak they leave on their own. We in no way condemn them.

I would hope my church would NEVER turn ANYONE away, regardless of who or what they are! I had a long conversation with a preacher once who told me he didn't ALLOW smokers or drinkers to join his congregation!! If he feels this is a sin, then would it not make much better sense to welcome them into the fold in the hopes that God would enter their lives? Everyone put on this earth sins in one way or another according to the word of God, so I believe all should be welcomed into any church they choose to attend!

I would try to make them feel welcome, just like anybody else. I had a homosexual person in my house yesterday - he's a great friend of mine. My family loves him. I'd be a pretty hypocritical person if I did not show God's love to others simply because they have a lifestyle I don't condone. God saved me in the midst of my sin. He takes people as they are. Can I do less?

Well since I'm a Unitarian we would gladly welcome the homosexual or cross dresser, just like we would welcome you. We're all god's children, even the ones that don't look and act exactly like you do.

It's more then possible that gay people are going to church by the way. There are plenty of gay Christians going to church though many can not be open about their practices.

I can't speak for everyone, the the Jesus I read about in the bible taught, acceptance and love. I don't ever recall him telling someone that they couldn't hear what he had to say because they were different from everyone else. So not only would I alet them stay I would go out of my way to make them welcome.

Let them stay. It may be the last time they get to hear preaching. God wouldn't turn them away, so why would we?
