Yeast infection help?
HELP!! I always get yeast infections and I am trying to find the source. This morning I read that increasing your blood sugar level will give you a yeast infection. Well, Saturday and Sunday all I did was eat sweets (cookies and candy). Now, I have a yeast infection - could this be the cause?

I have heard the same thing, but a yeast infection is in the vaginal area. What usually causes infections in the vaginal area is not taking proper care in cleaning it. A lot of Women believe that by taking a bath is taking care of cleaning your vagina. That is not the only thing you need to do. You need to clean it after having sex with vaginal wipes or what I use is baby wipes. This cleans the discharge that has accured during sex. After your period you need to use douches, because this releases the access blood that is dried in your vagina. When you are bathing: If in the shower you may be cleaning the area with a wash clothe but there is no guarantee that all the soap has rinsed completely off, which can cause an infection. If taking a bath/bubble bath the water has become dirty from your body and this water is flowing in and out of you. Which means that it is not properly cleaning your vagina. My suggestion would be to make sure you are properly cleaning yourself. You may want to, right now, see a Doctor though so that you can clear the infection you have.

It could be, but also if you have been taking antibiotics, this will cause one also. Stress also, and some hormonal changes will do it. Go and get one of the over the counter yeast infection medications and follow the directions. For external itching etc. try Vagisill cream. I used to get these constantly...and I never could pinpoint the exact cause...it was just important to get rid of them.

Bacteria is the main culprit of yeast infections. Weall have a healthy amount but when it changes we get infections. I tend to get them after I am on antibiotics. I cal my doc and he gets me a one dose pill called Diflucan. I take it once and it clears right up.
There are a few main types of yeast infections. I researched them at mayoclinic.com
Good Luck

Vagina yeast infection often occurs to diabetic patients. Even if you have treated for yeast infections, it will reinfect when suitable oppertunity arises.
