I do not think pictures will ever do our children justice. They are always so much more beautiful in our eyes. My children's eyes do not sparkle in pictures as much as they do when you see them in person.

Some photographers can if they are highly professional grade, but I think no one can capture the true beauty of a child. My son has the most beautiful big brown eyes. Everyone I know always comments on how beautiful his eyes are. It's the first thing that everyone notices about him and I think that no camera can capture that like the real thing.

Some do and some don't, so much depends on the lighting, what she's wearing, who takes the picture (my mother is a terrible photographer), stuff like that. When my daughter was a baby, my younger sister had not seen her yet, she lives so far away from us. I sent her tons of pictures and she called me and said, "Are her eyes really that blue? They're gorgeous!" All I could say was, yes they are. So, yes I do think I have several photos that capture my daughter beautifully.

Yes. If you know how to use your camera, it SHOULD capture your child's beauty. I take pictures of my daughter and she looks amazing. Close-ups with a good digital camera with the flash turned off in a naturally-lit area capture my daughter's hazel eyes PERFECTLY. I could show you a pic if you email me. =)

I am an amateur photographer and take lots of pictures of my child. I can recommend close-up portrait shots with the Flash disabled in a naturally lit area. Also consider using a shallow depth of field to bring focus on two features such as the eyes. Please feel free to click on the link below to see my personal photo album. If you have any specific questions then I would be happy to help.

Cameras can never catch the beauty of any child, I think that children have a certain glow in their eyes that cannot be seen on a picture, their laughter is so special it cannot be caught in one second

I know what your mean, my daughter has really gorgeous blue eyes and all the pictures we take come out with them red or orange. When we have them professionally done her eyes always look darker than they really are. It's very aggravating.
