He did not have to go chasing the animals.
God brought the animals to him. Genesis 7:15.
Noah only needed representatives of each animal group, there was no necessaity to bring in every TYPE of dog or cat or elephant.
Some have contended that the presence of animals on isolated islands like Australia and New Zealand is an indication that not all land animals outside the ark perished in the Deluge.
However, the findings of oceanographers indicate that at one time land ridges connected what are now isolated land areas. For example, oceanographic studies indicate that the Mid-Atlantic Ridge may have crossed that ocean above the surface. Possibly there were also other ridges, and animals could have migrated by means of these before such ridges sank below the surface of the ocean.
Other oceanographic studies have turned up evidence that once there existed a huge South Pacific continent that took in Australia and many of the South Sea isles. If such was the case, then, of course, the animals had no difficulty in migrating to these lands.

If you think about it, animals were different then than they are now, because of migration, etc. You don't know if polar bears existed back then, or Penguins.
God gathered for Noah the animals who were in the vicinity...... and were probably the same throughout the world. At that time, rain hadn't ever fallen yet, and I believe climate from one part of the world was comparable to other parts.

But, you know, we don't have all the answers. That's where FAITH comes in.

If God said He did it, then I believe He did it.

All of the animals were there. The Garden of Eden was in the Middle East, since there had never before been rain, the animals would have stayed close to the water site. It wouldn't have been until after the flood that created the vast distances in land that the animals moved to alternate sources of water.

What a silly question!!!!!!

The story of noah is exactly that .........A STORY.

Any study of the event leads you on a magical journey of human achievement.

You might as well ask how crop circles form or where ghosts are likely to appear. At least then you will get an interesting answer!!

How did Noah get all the animals? God probably called to them and sent most of the animals to Noah.
Noah wouldn't have needed to go anywhere.

It was a miracle. It was also a miracle that they fit them all on the ark and they were able to feed them all and they were able to keep them all clean and they were able to get rid of all that heat and they were able to get rid of all that smell and they were able to do something with the meat eaters and something with the ones that only ate live kill and, of course, they had to send them all back to their homes when they were done.

In fact, there were so many miracles involved in The Flood you kind'a wonder why God didn't just snap his fingers and make all the bad people disappear without all the fuss and bother?

IMHO

There are only ten million species on the planet at any given time-I'm sure he could have rounded them all up given about a thousand years or so.

Have you seen the movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW? That might give you a clue. Most probably not the entire earth flooded. Scientist have discovered that it happens before. Twice if i'm not wrong. Where the entire earth changes drastically to harmonise the climate.

The short answer is he didn't. It's a tale for children. The long answer is he lived to be 900 so he had plenty of time to scour the globe putting animals in cages...and collecting their food...and hoping they didn't die on his journey.

God brought the animals. But was the flood global or local. If local, there wouldn't have been as many animals to bring.
