We actually don't have many wives thankyou lol. We also don't have horns and tails if you hear that rumor too lol. Mormon, or LDS, is a Christian religion. There are differences, and not everybody would agree with that view, however, the religion is centered around Christ. We use the Bible as well as the book of Mormon which is a 2nd testiment of Jesus Christ. Along with these two is the doctrine and covenants which is a book of revelations given to prophets. Do you have any specific questions I can answer? or were you simply looking for a broad overview? If you have more questions just email me and I will be happy to answer them.

Technically, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a sect founded by one Joseph Smith. Smith allegedly found some metal plates buried in the ground in upper New York State, and claims to have translated the inscriptions thereon (with the aid of a couple of rocks) to get what is now called the Book of Mormon. The sect moved westward and eventually settled in what is now Salt Lake City, where it is by far the leading church.

A Mormon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a church that believes in latter-day revelation and prophets. The founder of the church, the Prophet Joseph Smith, by the power of God and by revelation, translated an ancient record, known as the Book of Mormon [hence the nickname "Mormon"']. It is a record of God's dealings with the people of ancient America, in the same way as the Bible is a record of God's dealings with the people of the ancient Middle-east. Since the Prophet Joseph Smith, there has been an unbroken chain of prophet leaders of the church, who have received revelations as they have been needed and as the Lord has seen fit to make them known. The present prophet is Gordon B. Hinckley, whose headquarters are in Salt Lake City. The prophet is assisted by a council of twelve apostles.

Mormon is a term used to refer to adherents of the Latter Day Saint movement, and most commonly to the movement's original and largest group, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The term is derived from the Book of Mormon, a religious text that Joseph Smith, Jr. said he translated from ancient plates containing a history of the early inhabitants of the Americas that was compiled by a prophet called Mormon. Although many people identify the Latter Day Saint movement as a denomination of Protestantism, Mormons do not consider themselves to be Protestants and do not recognize themselves as part of any larger branch of Christanity, but do consider themselves devout Christians and believe the Book of Mormon to be "Another Testament of Jesus Christ".

The Mormon religion was first set up by Joeseph Smith in the 1800s (I forget which year), Joeseph Smith was an American Christian who said that God came to him in a dream and said that he wanted a pure Christian religion.

Mormons do not drink alcohol, they don't take cafiene, they don't smoke, and they did a failed lab experiment in the early 70s called "The Osmonds". Mormons think that if this is the true way of life, they will be accepted by God.

Well, the Mormon god, the Mormon Jesus, and the Mormons are all related to Satan - that says a lot for Mormonism! Check out their scriptures and doctrines, temple achitecture, symbolism, rituals, and underwear.

While claiming to be the only true Christians having restored Christianity, Mormons have aversions to the Christian denominations, the Christian doctrines, the Christian cross, even the Christian Jesus and the Christian gospel!

Rather than believe in the "traditional Jesus", the inspired Word of God the Bible, and salvation by grace (God's unconditional, unmerrited love), Mormons are supposed to become worthy of polygamy heaven by trying to meet the unrealistic demands of a man-made, occultic religion.

religion
proper name; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints
(also known as LDS church)
they belive in an afterlife which consists of 3 degrees of glory (heaven) and eternal darkness (hell) In the the top heaven you get eternal progression and get to become a god and build your own universe

Its beliefs are many and varied. it is basically a christian religion, but with some freemasonry temple rituals thrown in.

Basically it is a lot of nonsense invented by a fraud named 'Joseph Smith Junior' - who tried to say that south american indians were ancient hebrews who had emigrated from israel.

they belive in a literal adam and eve, and believe that the garden of eden was in missouri, USA.

{edit} to the two people who gave me at thumbs down...that's your choice. I guess a mormon might take exception to the word 'Fraud', used in conjunction with Joseph Smith Jnr - but every other fact, above, is exactly what mormons believe. (and there's a lot more weird beliefs wheere that came from) I am TOTALLY familiar with Mormon beliefs, and anyone who wants an atheist viewpoint of Joseph Smith Jnr's cult, can contact me via this site.

It's half of an oxymormon - a statement that juxtaposes two seemingly completely contradictory terms such as 'deafening silence' or 'true religion'.
