Considering the flood would have wiped out all vegetation....

Considering the gestation period for animals to repopulate...

Considering you could not immediately eat the animals because they would have to repopulate....

It would take months for the water to recede so that vegetation could grow.....

I know the answer is that the imaginary being God provided!!

Why???

You have faith....

LOL...Good point! Give em something to think about!

********

Noah and his ark was actually a true story.....notice, I said STORY....not EVENT.

The Fertile Crescent had spring floods every year, due to the snows melting from the Ural mountains to the north. The story was a tale told at the time to get locals to prepare for the spring floods by moving to higher grounds or to build barges/floats, to keep above the flood waters.

The "story" says it was the "whole world" that flooded.....actually it was THEIR whole world.....people didn't use to travel a lot, ya know. the whole bible is a compiled group of stories just like this one.

The Bible isn't clear on what they ate but if you read the scriptures it says Noah had 7 each of all the "clean" animals (2 each of unclean) so...since they didn't eat the unclean animals and assuming they kept 2 of each of the unclean ones, they could have eaten 5 of each type of clean animals. Plus the clean ones would have been repopulating at a greater rate then the unclean because there were more of them. Noah isn't specifically told until after the flood that they could eat meat (before that people were vegans), but that doesn't mean that they didn't eat meat while on the ark. Fowl such as chicken, duck, turkey, etc.. repopulate fairly quickly, not to mention all the eggs they could have eaten. Plus they would have had tons of grain stored to feed not only themselves but all those animals. 54 days after the ark came to rest (read the story, do the math) the dove came back with an olive leaf, so vegetation was already starting to come back. So yes, my very REAL God provided quite nicely; it was only eight people after all. I totally agree with Beam G.

God is not imaginary (maybe to you). Besides the animals for repopulation, he also took animals to eat. After all he took food for the animals. Seems like you only know half of the story. Read the Bible yourself, he sent birds out 3 times to know if the water had gone. First time the bird came back, second time the bird came with an olive leaf, third time the bird never came back (obviously found a dry spot). Why is someone as 'sophisticated' as you interested in a trivial issue as what Noah ate?

Did you consider the possibility that they stored a lot of extra food (grain, etc) in the ark and lived on that even after the waters went back down? Its also possible they brought some extra livestock (more than just the 2 per species) to live on after the flood. Many plausible explanations here.

Sweet heart...you doubt too much. May be that is the cause for your present unhappiness.

You need to learn to extract the morals rather than nitpick on details. It is a different world altogether when you see the good things that are sensible and applicable to your life.

Albert Einstein said - "There are 2 ways of living. One is as if nothing is a miracle and the other is as if everything is a miracle."

It is not what we don't understand in Bible that bothers us. So good luck with your pursuit for truth!! May God Bless you.

Noah was instructed to take enough food with him. If you remember he took 7 pairs of clean animals, and performed a sacrifice. (they usually ate it). There was vegetation when the dove came back.

I think if you figure it up, Noah was on the boat around 1 year.

He survived because he is smart. God won't help you if you don't wanna help yourself. Do you think God create that ark. Noah who create it and he survive the storm. God only give revelations but He did not do stuff for you. You must do it yourself. To ans your ques.... He might have stock up supplies long before the storm.

But then again nobody knows the exact story. Only Glorious Allah(GOD) All Merciful All Knowing knows.

Genesis 7:2-3 "of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of the beasts that are not clean by two the male and his female." " of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the famale; to keep seed alive upon the face of the earth."

This was to ensure clean animals for sacrifice and food.

There was 7 each of the clean and 2 each of the unclean animals. The clean animals was for him to eat and sacrifice when needed.
