First of all congratulations for the wedding!!
What a great idea going, on a Mini-Honeymoon, to Italy!!!
You could not have picked a better and more romantic place (and I am non saying that just because I am Italian...)
I strongly suggest the Amalfi coast...
Amalfi itself it's breathtakingly beautiful and, although you can walk through the whole town in less then half an hour, there are lots of cute little shops and things to see...
The views are arguably the best in the world...
And the beach is one of the best of the Italian coast...
Have fun!!!

We went to Rome last year for the first time. I booked two Easyjet flights. Went on the internet and booked the coach from the airport to Rome. The company was Terravision, cost about £20 for the both of us. We got the flights for just over £100. We booked two nights in a hotel and that cost us about £160. We were able to walk around all the main sites in Rome. There were hundreds of romantic restaurants. Had a lovely meal for less than £20. £400 each will be more than enough. If you do a Google or Ask Search lots of Italian companies will display great hotels and where they are located. Choose one centrally located to the historical centre. Do a search for the Rome tourist Board and you will find all the famous sites, the opening and closing times and approx cost of entry. Have a great time.

Your name's Claire and your husband's name is Jason. You are 24 and he is 27. You have always wanted a big family. You accidentally got pregnant on your honeymoon in Paris, France. You find out their twins (one boy, one girl)! Adrienna Summer and Advent John 2 years later, you feel the need to have another baby. You are 26, your husband's 29, the twin's are 2. You got pregnant quickly. After a very rough, painful delivery, you gave birth to a baby boy. Aaron Emery. 3 years later, you are 29, your husband's 32, the twin's are 5, baby boy's 3. You are vacationing in Egypt. You decide you want to conceive there. Twins again! Two girls this time.Adara Claire and Amara Jo. A year later, your mom is watching the kids, while you and your husband are renewing vowels in Italy. You are 30, husband's 33, twin's are 6, boy's 4, other twin's are 1. Things got intense. You conceive a baby girl. Aida Anna. 5 years later. You are 35, husband's 38, twin's 11, boy's 9, other twin's are 6, girl's 5. You think you are done having kids, but your husband wants one more. So you give in while vacationing in Florida. Instead of just one more, you end up with triplets. 2 boys, one girl. Jasper Konnor, Mayden Peter and Hayden Rick.

Sorrento and Capri are two of the MOST expensive spots in Italy. Wonderful for sure but I went there in August and spent 300 euros in 3 days, between rooms, food and beach (once only). Siena wasn't too expensive and Florence is acceptable. Rome tends to be more expensive for tourists because... well, that's how it is unfortunately, unless you know someone there. I'd say Tuscany and Marche are romantic and still affordable. Puglia is gorgeous but I'm not familiar with the prices. I just know it's one of the bets looking locations in Italy, especially Lecce. Have fun!

Hi,

You've got many nice sugestions above but why not head for Sicily?
Taormina is one of the most romantic places in all Italy.
Hire a car and go from city to city, visit mount Etna and go by the special shuttle all the way to the top. It's indescribable - it has to be experienced!

Go to Florence!

Fly into Pisa, and hire a car. You will have a fantastic time. Authentic local food and drink, music, people and the most beautiful scenery in Italy, all waiting for you in Florence. Not too expensive. You can fly to Pisa with no-frills carriers, or with full-fare airlines. The travel time from the uk is just under two hours, and the journey to Florence from Pisa is about 45 minutes.

I work as cabin crew for a major UK airline, and I always go to Florence when I go to Pisa for the night.

You will love it!

There is so much to see there you would need a week, but a long weekend is good start.
Try looking at Octopus travel or expedia, loads of hotels and fly into Campucciono (spelling) just outside with one of the budget airlines.

i would recommend sorrento above any where else lots to see Pompeii just three miles away Capri just across the bay and a tour of the Amalia coast must be one of the most spectacular and beautifull trips you could ever take.the town itself is marvelous for shopping and full of good restaurants ,I have been there twice and highly recommend it.
