Responses to a previously posted question claimed that not to mention
Jesus was to deny him.
I think that all can agree that there is only one way to do an enema.
likewise Is there only one way to pray?
If so, do you conduct the rest of your life with similar regidity?

I believe that prayer is with an open heart and an open mind. I also believe that once a person has accepted salvation thru God's Son, Jesus, that ALL prayers are in His name. I believe that our spoken words or thoughts are translated into a spiritual language of prayer and that God knows our hearts.

There are many, many ways to pray and I believe that God always knows the Christian heart. No, I do NOT believe that "not to mention" means, in any way, to deny Jesus.

For whatever value this has: I hold BS (highest honors) and MS.

Good question.

Oh, btw, there are several ways to do an enema. Ask any nurse.

'Worthless' is a very strong word.
Someone lost and desperate turns to God in prayer and doesn't refer to Jesus will still be heard ...basically because its an emergency situation.
However, generally speaking prayers should be offered through the office of Jesus Christ.
Please note John 14:6,13

Jesus said ask in His name (according to His will) and the Father will do it. This is the most effective way. Education, 1/2 way to a Master.

Yes, your prayer will fall upon deaf ears. That was part of Christ's Attoning Sacrifice, that any prayers that were asked in rightiousness in his name would be heard and answered.

If God is truly interested in knowing us and having a relationship with us, would it make a difference if you prayed slightly wrong? God knows what's in our hearts. Messing up the details probably doesn't exempt us from His blessings.

Wel the bible the only way to get to the father is to the son. But people pray in difient way. The bible olso said come as you are, If you dont have money to buy a nice dress for x-mas that doesn't mean that you can come. You need to do the best that you can and be kind and decent to other. You allon can feel in heart wich is the right way to pray. They said to get to the father you need to go threw th son. But think about "our father who is in heaven .... " your praying directly to god and not threw jesus. There are difirent opinions. For instance i pray to god, jesus and the holy mother of god maria. you need to see in your heart. Some religion i dont understand, i think they are praying to a fake god: forinstance they pray to budha, their ansasters, anubis, jehova. Jehovas witnes read the bible and everything. But they never pray to jesus, god or maria, they only pray to jehova, but he is not a god. so i dont understand that religion. But i pray in my way and try to go too church as often as i can. ANdi i pray to god, jesus and maria and often i ask my guardian angel to protect me. Just feel in your heart and god bless. ... college

Many ways lead to God, and He answers prayers coming from various routes. There can't be only one way to pray. What matters is faith in God, and not in human beings. (B.Sc)

My understanding is that God and Jesus are one and the same. Therefore, I doubt that God would disregard your prayer simply because you forgot to attach Jesus' name to it.
