I live in the Virginia suburbs outside Washington D.C. The crime rate here is pretty low, but our economy is strong, so they all have jobs building houses, cleaning houses, or landscaping. They're making good money, so they don't have to steal.
Ironically, all of the MS13 folks they've arrested lately were US Citizens, mostly native-born.

I grew up in rural Iowa, I was raised on a farm, and moved out just 1 mile away from my parents, then moved 30 miles away. Oddly enough , I was born in the town that I know live in.
The entire time I grew up, it was quite, peaceful, and safe place to live.... Until a local meat packing plant brought in illegal workers, shipped them up from Texas and California. In the past 10 years we had 2 murders, in a 3 county area, and they were both commit ed by illegal immigrants. The town the meat processing plant is in, is know over flooded with illegal immigrants, and the community is trying to fight back against their destructive behavior. Five years ago, the meat packing plant bought 200 acres and announced they were going to turn it into a company trailer park, my home county fought back by making a ordnance that any housing structure must sit on 5 acres of land if in a area that is zone rual. The meatpacking plant had already owned some 20 trailers that were used by illegal immigrants, and they repairs were left to the tenants, no repairs ever happened, and the trailers were eyesore in the trailer parks were the resided.

Sorry but this is just an ignorant remark. Some areas with lots of poor illegals may have more petty crime than say Beverly Hills, but if you compare the crime rate to similar poor neighborhoods filled with blacks, native americans, dirt poor whites or any other group you will see that the problems are problems of poverty -not race. Alchohol, broken families, lack of education, low income and opportunity and so on are not problems caused by illegals. These problems exist everywhere - not just the US as a matter of fact.
Gangs are also an offshoot of poverty. If you do a bit of reading you will see that we have had black, irish, italian, asian, white and many other violent gangs in the history of our nation. Anytime you have large groups of marginalized youth, without an accesible path out of poverty, denigrated by those who are better off, you have the potential that some individuals will try to take by force what they feel is denied them by right.

I live in Orange County, California, 45mins south of Los Angeles and right next to Santa Ana, ca both cities very densely populated by illegal immigrants. Yes the crime rate is high in both cities but but majority of crime is committed by gangs who's affiliates are either black or legal mexican citizens. Here in my city however, Asian gangs prevail. All this is not to say that illegal immigrants do not commit crimes in this area, but they are not the majority.

Yes, I live in rural TN. where there is alot of farming. Most criminal offenses that involve Hispanics (probably illegal) involve driving violations. No insurance, no driver's license, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of narcotics.
I can honestly say outside of a lot of charges for domestic violence appearing in the newspaper committed by various Garcia's, Rodriguez, and th occasional Juarez the Hispanics are not resposible for the majority of violent crime in my region of the country.

It all depends where you live. So in the bronxs there are a lot of crime, but by americans. It's very relative. I have a lot of friends that are illigals. They have houses, good cars, pay taxes, go to school and don't commit crimes. there are good and bad people everywhere. Just because you are illigal doesn't mean you are a criminal. they just want a chance to have a better life. They live just like you and me, and sometimes better because they are VERY hard workers.

Predominantly black cities (Detroit, Atlanta, St Louis, DC, Oakland) have among the highest crime rates in the nation. why aren't you mentioning that? Because they're Americans?
I'd rather put up with the illegals than to live in the cities I mentioned.

I live in a small town so its not that bad, but the next largest town which is about 30 miles away has gotten really bad with mexican gangs. It is not a place I'd want my kids to grow up in.
~ Most of the little thugs are actually born here though in the states. I live in South Texas.
Yep born here, with plenty of family and connections with Mexico.
Going for that machismo they crave.

I live near Dallas-Fort Worth, we would never know the crime rate of illegals because it is rarely reported in the Dallas Morning News, the Star-Telegram or on TV...but upon investigating (calling the local police where crime was committed) many, many were done by illegals. I have discussed the obligation the media has to report the truth with all of them many times to no avail. Child predators that are illegal are not even on the Texas Sexual Predator website - and many of the politicians are campaigning to keep our children safe! I think the media all over our country are afraid the politicians will give them the "Dan Rather Syndrome" if they report the truth. Sad state of affairs for middle-class Americans....
I have sent many emails to Oprah asking her to do a show on this to no avail...maybe if she gets many requests.....
