i'm a muslim living in europe and i haven't had contact with christian missionaries till recently. two men came to my door to give me a copy of new testament ...... and i accepted it out of respect. but then i heard the comments made by my neighbours, judging them and accusing them of trying to convert us - so i felt kinda lost whether i did the right thing or not. i mean, it's not as if i'll convert by accepting a written word, right? Qur'an is my guide and light - but i'm a bit puzzled if i did right or wrong. what would u do if they came to ur door, please?

thanks in advance

What you did is absolutely right. The Qu'ran never forbids us to read any sources to find answers even if its the bible(if there is any answers which i don't think so). Your neighbour merely judged by single glance and assume. You know what you did is the right thing and Allah(S.W.T)(God) alone will judge your actions. That is my opinion.

If they come to my door and present a copy of the Bible, i will gladly accept it as sign of religious tolarance. Btw i did read the bible to gain my knowledge and insight. I don't think its sin to gain knowledge as long as YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

hahahaha:

That happened to me last week.

Here is what happened and my response.

Three people came. Two ladies one man.

Lady #1 said: Hi we are here to bring you the good news of teh kingdom of God.

Muslimah: Okay.

Lady#2:Jesus Loves You.

Muslimah: Oh I love Jesus back (PBUH)

Lady#1: Did you say you love Jesus????? (Puzzled look)

Muslimah: Yes! I said I love Jesus (PBUH). Why?

Lady#2: Have you read the bible? Do you know the good news?

Muslimah: Yes I read the bible and I memorized it. As a matter offact would you like to get a copy of the bible? (I have 40 different versions and six extras, Muslimah rushes in to get the bibles)

Man#1: (Wide eye look) Oh My God YOU READ THE BIBLE?

Muslimah: Yeap! What is your favorite Verse?

Lady #1: Psalm 22.

Muslimah: Starts reciting the bible. That is great! Hey I just had a wild idea? Do you want a copy of teh Quran too?

Lady #1: No thanks You have a great day... (nervously)

Lady#2: We have to be going bye bye (nervously)

Man #1: Are you a Muslim????? (nervously)

Muslimah: Yes I am a muslim.... You have a great day! Come back any time.......

I think there is no problem in reading the bible.... My Quran is my guide but the bible made me Muslim LOL.

If you accept a bible from anyone it does not mean a thing!!! The problem is when people try to shove their religion on your face.... be careful as some people invite themselves every weekend to your house LOL...

Hope this helps.

Muslimah.

As a Muslim, the least possible do is to maintain up with the solah or namaaz. Solah is unquestionably actual stream and little recital and each attempt be made to comprehend the elementary recital for the solah to be significant. yet another substantial element of solah is preparedness. think of going for a job interview, how embarrass you would be in case you're caught unprepared. the internet is crammed with training approximately solah and the meaning of the recital.there is not any excuse to no longer locate.

it is alright to receive it.About your neighbour say they are trying to convert you may have a possibility to be true.Even where i am,the christians are always telling people about their religion, bring them to church and then encourage them to convert. They are trying to get more converts.keep your faith to Allah strong:).dont worry too much.just continue life as a muslim.Allah will always give you His guidance.Amin.
