Yes, many military men and women were offended. It was one of the most inappropriate and stupid things that Kerry could have said. However, being the proud military personnel that we are, I'd say it was handled great. The picture is a great and fun jab back at Kerry. It was a true eye opener for many as to how Kerry truly feels about the troops. Kerry and the Dems will feel repercussions from this for awhile. It's really not shocking that he said it. He's never liked or supported the military. Anyone that knows anything about him knows that his military career was a farce. He's proved his ignorance once again.
Kudos and thumbs-up for our troops in Iraq. I love the reply from them to Kerry!!

As a former sailor and the wife of a sailor, I was offended by John Kerry's comments. Obviously he's ignorant and hasn't spent much time talking to military personnel. Obviously HE wasn't the one flying out to the aircraft carriers and witnessing sailors taking college classes while deployed during a time of war. Despite working 12+ hour days, 7 days a week, a good majority of the military take off duty education classes. Not to mention that the military trains us to do our jobs. Could Mr. Kerry do our jobs? If he's so smart then I guess he would be able to step right in today and take over right? If we're all a bunch of idiots, anyone should be able to do our jobs. But I do believe that being the professional men and women that we are, that we are biting our tounges for the most part.

You would be surprised by the maturity of our young men and women in uniform. The zealots here in the states were far more offended by the comment than were those in the military. Those in the service just considered the source and moved on.

Military personnel don't think too highly of John Kerry. I doubt they take anything he says seriously.

I'm in the military and I was offended (but not surprised.) But I don't think only troops should have been offended - anyone who supports our military should have been offended.
And I don't believe for a minute it was a botched joke about Bush

Kerry should be treated as an enemy combatant, i am so glad i didn't vote him what a retard, he has spent his entire life making remarks about soldiers if it is not Iraq then it is Vietnam. if you are fighting in the armed services you are seeing your buddies dieing and don't know if your next then people are saying things like kerry said do you think you would be upset. get a life.
