i have just been on a couple of questions... relating to God, or other religion...
it seems to me that every person that has an objection, has been given thumbs downs... even if the answer is a valid one...
i.e creation... one went as far as to state EVOLUTION... which in my book is correct... there is more chance of an Alien bringing the first men and women here... than the statement in the bible of Adam and Eve...
i believe in EVOLUTION... and not some ancient form of Policing the world peoples...
I find religion very intollerant of other peoples feelings... this is confirmed by reading some of your answers!
Why is it religious people cannot get there head round the fact... there are people on this planet, that really do not give a boo wether you are Muslim , Christian, jew, or atheist?
it baffles the heck out of me! especially when religion is responsible for many, many, wars and persecution!

Wait a minute... in answer to the lady who's mother is trying too modernise the church... what i do not get at all, is it's not ok to be Homosexual (in the bible1 Oh love thy nieghbour i love that one. But not a gay!) then you go and have homosexual priests! It is not ok for the ladies to be priests, now it is ok! The church hid paedo priests for many years and to an extent still protect them, by moving on to abuse somewhere else! come on, give me real answers! No one has given me a satisfactory answer!
Why is it all of the above, and more, IS condoned by the church, Catholic or christian... why do muslims allow the abuse of the women and want to blame everything on a religious background they share! then want to kill and maime because of this! Why do the isrealies whom apparently share a similar view of god as christians, bomb Gaza? And in return, why do muslims fire rockets into isreal... because of some promised land??? this in my book is the purest of evil! Evil!

The word which leads to this evil, is intollerance!
And you want me to have a shroud of exceptance to religion!
I believe i am very tollerant of religion... it is my right also to live free of any form of hatred... i only believe i will be safe on this wonderful earth, when religion go's away all together... sorry that's how i feel... i hate the fact that the church can butt in on events like murder in it's parish, yet through history, they HAVE caused more wars than anyone... it is not too long ago in a speach by George Bush he stated... Freedom was given too us by a greater God... a highly inflammatory remark! especially to me, i sat there and said..."what God!?"
I tell you this again is intollerance... and proved to me, that what is going on is a modern crusade... similar to the one that gace us Spain, most of eastern europe and portugal! some of africa! You see religion is a cause of all our wars... Face up to it!
I Love you all PEACE!

It means that they may have to question their own beliefs and why would they want to do that? I mean, think for themselves?

I think the way you carry on is very interesting. It's less that you are a non-believer in anything, but more that you simply refuse it. You have no wish, whatsoever, to believe in anything outside of the explainable. You are in denial, whether or not the fact exists, that any higher being could control it all.
And it is true that many religious people are highly intolerant of non-believers and would choose to either spite them or ignore them all together. I am not in league with these people, though I have come in contact many of them. The problem, it seems, at least in the Christian world, is that many people, particularly the old traditionalists, have no tolerance for anyone outside the church, and even people within the church, who have differring views. My mother, for example, is a pastor trying to modernize the worship in her church, i.e. worship bands, more rowdy music, etc. These things, and things such as being touched by the Spirit (sort of like passing out... one of the crazy things God-ly people do) and healings and miracles are not things they want to hear of. They do not think them possible. They have read about them in the Bible, and have been to church all their life, but frown upon anything besides dirge-like songs and long, droning sermons. This is religion. True Christianity, that is, the following of Jesus Christ, the belief of miracles, and that they still happen today, the longing to be touched by God, is not religion. And most certainly, the exclusion or discrimination of anyone who does not believ is not religion, because it is not love. You're expiriencing religion. Religion is wrong.

I am a very religious person (Buddhist) and I agree with you. It is incredible the amount of people you meet that is so cruel to others, just because they share different points of view, regarding religion.
I think most religious people have their own doubts about it, otherwise they wouldn't need to fight, or be aggressive in order to protect their religious point of views.
In a world where science is evolving everyday, the facts in many sacred books are being questioned. And this fact usually weakens the religion, cos many people will use a simple fact that has been proven wrong, to break down a whole religion.
And there is something I can't understand as well, most religions state that we should love each other, and respect our neighbours, etc, however, most people are violent and cause wars in order to protect these principles. Isn't it a paradox? In order to defend our religion, we sacrifice it's rules, and concepts?

I can see your point... i can see your reasoning, i wholeheartedly agree, something is wrong... i see your modern crusade vision... and believe you are quite right... although like with other things to push religion underground could also backfire... but yes i see your reasoning... thats is why many many many of my friend have turned there back on what they have said is a perverted course of life! i kind of was shell shocked myself when i heard these words come from a muslim friend of mine! he said he'd read the quoran several times in full... and found that in modern society it had no place... i have a christian friend whom agrees, it basically is Policing from a time when we where scared of thunder! A little like what you stated above!
Yes i agree... something needs to be done to de-classify, or strip the powers away from the church or other religions, in our governments... as they have no place in modern society... oh the fact is religion particularily christian is a dying trade! Give it 50 years or so my friend... i do agree though...
peace willonly be achieved when we all have a common goal... perhaps climate change... which IS SCIENCE FACT! No Noahs here! will change peoples perceptions of life!
Fantastic question! Fantastic debate!

I don't know why religious people are so upset about non believers. Although I believe in a first cause, I am perfectly comfortable with the fact that some people don't believe in one. Any atheist I know does nothing to hurt anyone. I guess a lot of people are insecure. That is about the only thing I can think of as a reason for the verbal attacks. I do not believe it is polite to bash anybody for what they believe. Have a nice day.

Why must some religious people feel they need facts to prove evolution when We have none to prove the existence of a higher being!
It saddens me that there are so many people who are mislead in the world, I am not religious but have faith, the most important faith in the world, faith in myself.
I have beliefs about the afterlife etc but they are mine, I don't follow rules written in a book thousands of years ago. also, would never preach about my beliefs to others and more importantly I wouldn't dream of condemning a person to eternal torment just because they don't share the same beliefs.
The definition of a belief is an idea deeply embedded in the holders mind, it's a shame that most people can't keep them in their mind.

Humans all get pushed around and put down. Leading to bad
feelings about onesself, and that creates false prides.
Overcompensating. Nothing new about that.
I tend to have a broader perspective than most.
What if we are ALL right to degree?
It's said the first spirits camei nto this world to experience it by
living in things, and got trapped by the forces that create this world, because they hung around too long.
What if the first humans were genetic mutations from monkeys
by lesser gods, (aliens perhaps), for those spirits to live in?
The theory of evolution itself says there is a "missing
link" in the progression of humans, according to the physical evidence.
Did we get a BOOST from our Highest Power. Adam and Eve
were commanded to "replenish" the Earth. The prefix (re),
means to do again?
THINGS THAT MAKE U GO HMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt any properly educated Muslim would have a problem with having non believing people around. Mainly because God says that He has created everyone and if He had wished, He would have made every human being a believer in His faith. But He did not wish for it to be so.
If God has willed it, who am I to be bothered by it???

maximum human beings have a job the place we are jumbled in with human beings of all distinctive religious temperatures. I additionally artwork with many unbelievers, and that i attempt to work out it as an possibility somewhat than a worry. Jesus instructed us that we are to be salt and easy-weight, meaning we are to be out interior the international, no longer hiding from it. it somewhat is advantageous to easily be around different Christians each and all of the time, yet that does no longer make us effectual witnesses! you have been saved via the flow artwork of Christ, what an undeserved present! and how lots do all of those others % that comparable saving grace? there is not any one with whom you lock eyes daily that Christ did no longer die to maintain. He desires that everyone will come to Him and be redeemed. it somewhat is thru believers such as you that they hear the Gospel message. Who is familiar with, it ought to be the 1st actual time that they've somebody who will take it sluggish to tell them what Christianity is all approximately! And in case you could no longer overtly witness without endangering or getting interior the way of artwork, then enable your strikes communicate for the hot existence which you have got here across. via no longer gossiping or slandering, or via edifying somewhat of attacking you're judged, then so be it. you're set aside for holy use, your existence isn't your guy or woman! You have been bought at a value, for the attention of Christ Jesus. Thank God that He chosen to depart His convenience zone of heaven and are available right down to rescue us sinners. the total Commision tells us to undertaking out of our convenience zone and flow and make disciples. think of approximately how great it's going to be once you're in heaven and you notice a number of your coworkers who're there partly on account which you cared sufficient to tell them approximately it! best to you, be good interior the religion!

I was a non believer once. I don't think the UK has the same problem with other faiths ramming it down people's throats, maybe we are just too polite! Now I'm a christian I have witnessed to others, my 2 best friends became christians, but I usually let people know my beliefs then wait for them to ask if they want to know anything. I believe actions speak louder than words.
As for evolution, there is no proof and the blible account of creation fits the evidence. I'm not making a blind faith statement, I actually looked at it for myself to get a balanced view.

Why can handle the fact that their are non believers....
we respond they way we do sometimes, because we know that if people do not go to the Lord to be set free they will not go to heaven, neither will they have peace on earth,
We really concerned or at least we should be
Jesus wept when the people would not repent of their evil, so do many of us
and true Christians don't hate and cause war
10. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that LOVETH NOT HIS BROTHER
11. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
