We live in a world of many moments of despair when everything in their lives fall apart and then tragedy strikes giving them the green light to do the wrong by choice and then when they realize what they have done they accept it and move on having learned something new in the chapter of their lives.

God punished mankind primarily because of the sin of disobedience to his intruction not to eat the forbideen fruit. The blame game by adam and eve was simply a manifestation of the depraved nature that has come upn them as a result of sin. Even if they had repented on the spot, the did had been done and the wages of sin is death.Making apology is very good but is not enough to adequately atorn for the sin. That means things would have still been the same until the work of redemption is completed

Are you a Moslem? Because this is the teaching of Islam. It was said that Adam and Eve repented to God, and God accepted their repentance. Therefore, there is no original sin concept in Islam, and consequently, no need for a saviour to redeem our sin.
Islam also teaches that a person is responsible to his/her own sin. He cannot go to jail for the crime committed by his father.
Redemption of sin is simply admitting you have made a mistake, ask for forgiveness to the persons you have wronged, repent to God, and never to repeat the same mistake again. God will then accept this kind of redemption.

Yes,Yes,Yes!The blame game started with Adam. He said that woman you gave me.He blamed Eve and God instead of himself.
Look up in the 33rd chapter of Job and read where it says....if a man say he sinned and perverted that which is right God will look down and have mercy. The fastest way to have the help of God is to admit when you are wrong.

Their situation was a bit different.
They didn't make a mistake due to weakness ...they had none, they were perfect.
Theirs was an act of rebellion ....a purposeful dis-owning of the one who gave them life.
It took an effort on their part to do that since they were made in a way to naturally co-operate with God.
So, if they asked forgiveness, yes our lives might have been different.
However, God wasn't holding his breath.

Yes they already have. As it is stated in the Quran.
God taught them words by which they can ask forgiveness...i.e. prayers..and they did. But they were told to go and live on earth..as a test of faith and compliance with the covenant they did with God before that.

Things would be the same, because we are all human just like they were, and humans have these crazy fault-like characteristics that get them in trouble... curiousity for example... Even if we always admitted to God and asked for forgiveness, it wouldn't change the fact that we'd all still do the same stupid crap.

Hi Happy, first let me assure you that Adam and Eve received God`s mercy, they went to that place of the dead(not Hell) were all waited for the Redemptive sacrifice of Christ.
Adam&Eve rebelled against God even after He warned of the consequences, they experienced pain&hardship for the first time and had to provide for their own needs i.e food, water etc, as God provided these before the fall for them.
now as you rightly pointed out we can forgive and forget and this is what God does as well but the offender must always ask for this forgiveness, it is not automatic, for this is the basic tenet of repentance.
but we tend to forget that even when a sin/offence is forgiven there is still a price that must be paid and that is restitution.
if I steal from you and repent and you forgive me I still am obliged to make good your loss.
now the consequences of Adams sin were plainly known to him and he was of higher understanding of this than even we are because he had higher knowledge than we do.
it is a mystery to us but the offence that this disobediance give to God was infinitly greater than we can fathom,I mean this was no small thing, man had betrayed the justice of God and fell by his own choice from that state of grace that God had bestowed on him,and the offence could not be restored by Adam who now had darkened his very soul by this sin.
it is not easy to understand for us because our minds are finite and we don`t fully grasp the enormity of the fall, the good news however was that God in His infinite mercy and wisdom told Adam&Eve that He himself would one day restore them and their descendants Himself, and Jesus the second person of the Holy Trinity who is God became one of us in every way but without sin and by His sacrifice on the cross redeemed us from eternal darkness and brought us back to the light of God.

I don't think that admission of wrong absolves one from required justice. You still must pay for the wrongdoing, being punished. Compare this to admitting guilt to a judge. While the punishment may be less by pleading guilty, one is still punished as is one found guilty who had plead not guilty.

.Adam and Eve sinned, and there's consequences to sin. Even though we may be forgiven, things change. If you or I commit a crime, we can ask God, and be assured of forgiveness. That doesn't mean we won't go to jail to pay the penalty for our crime.
