Sorry to rain on your parade pal, but no man has a right to lift his hand for any women, no matter what the provocation! But sacking was probably a bit harsh. Why don't you try apologising to the girl, and go with her to your boss and see if you can persuade him to give you your job back. (her support will only help your position) Promise to go to Anger Management, and GO! You need it if you ask me. You will learn how to walk away from situations like that in future. If we all went around slapping the people who tease or anger us, the world would be walking around VERY red faced. Good luck. And think before you strike next time!

Having just lost a job at Tesco, you should have any much trouble getting another one working for another major retailer.

I guess the cause and effect of your slapping someone at work isnt lost on you.

so get cracking at applying for a new job, its may just be best thing you ever did

The slapping women jokes you continually run on here are not funny. Any man who physically harms a woman should have a glass thermometer shoved down his man member and then whacked with a hammer :)

Judging by your grasp of the English language and your apparent level of maturity I am surprised you got a job at Tesco.

"She was laughing at me and calling me names". Playground stuff. How old are you?

Oh dear...

Well, I guess she shouldn't have provoked you, but I guess you lost control too. I don't think it's possible to get another job at Tesco's. Try, if you like, and explain to your boss what happened. I don't think it'll get you very far though. Seek out another job, I guess. Good luck.

I can understand that she annoyed you and irritated you, BUT, the solution is not violence. By smacking her you showed her that she got under your skin, you should have just ignored her even though it would have been difficult but you would have come out the stronger person.:) Hope you get another job soon.
