You may have colitis or irritable bowel syndrome.
colitis = inflammation of the colon. Usual symptoms are diarrhea with gross blood & mucus, abdominal cramps & fever. May be associated with antibiotic use. Are you taking an antibiotic that could be causing this? There are several types incl amebic, mucous, pseudomembranous & ulcerative (the last which may cause bleeding). You can have colitis also, without being on an antibiotic
irritable bowel syndrome = disturbance of intestinal function of unknown cause. May cause abdominal discomfort & altered bowel activity. Usually does not produce fever. Symptoms may be increased by mental or social stress. It is the most frequent GI disorder.
My advice - see your Dr before any more time lapses. He may want to do a colonoscopy to rule out other causes. Let him. You must be miserable. But with treatment, there is usually a cure. I hope this info helps. Good luck!

You probably have internal hemorroids. Take excercise and change your diet now, do not wait for it to get worse. This is a long term solution only so if it gets worse in the short term see a Dr. Your new diet should be full of fibre and should start with porridge or fruit for breakfast.Eat small meals only 3 times a day

If it just happened it's probably e.coli and will last one to two days if you have a healthy immune system. If it's been ongoing it could be a number of things and you should definitely go see a doctor. You might want to see a doctor to confirm if it's e.coli too.
If the blood is dark or black, it means it's either from farther up your digestive system or you have a possibly serious condition. If the blood is red it means it's coming from farther down your digestive tract, it's new blood and usually is a less serious condition.

Sweetie, First and foremost don't get all worried and upset, make an appointment asap to see your Doctor then they will have tests done to see cause.
It can be a number of things , you say you don't have protruding haemorriods but they can be inside also...
Plus you can also have a fistula (crack in the bowel lining) which also causes bleeding and soreness...
Anyway it is best you get it checked as mentioned....((Hugs)) chin up cos it is not always as bad as it seems.......

See a doctor soon! That is not normal. You are having bleeding from someplace. It could be internal hemorrhoids, but it could be something else. Please make an apptointment today!
Good luck!

you don't have to have protruding 'piles' for any blood to show. they can still burst inside and of course blood will show when you poo.
i suggest more fibre and tons of water....mucus doesn't necessarily mean anything serious...but i would go and see your GP anyway.
