I am looking to get my fringe cut like the above link, but I want mine to be slightly above my eyebrow and a rounder shape. I can't find any pictures that best describe this kind of fringe.

Does anyone have any images I which best describes the fringe I want? Do you know what this type of fringe is called?

This is called a "slide bang". I always cut these with a razor making the hair fall softly to the side. Your stylist will understand if you relay this to him/her. Promise. it is the most popular fringe right now, and I can't tell you how many I do each day. Good luck!

First of, i LOVE Ashlee Simpson and her hair always looks so funky! I would think it's best to go to your local hairdresser and show them a picture of this haircut, just incase the way you describe it might not come across to the hairdresser and you might end up with a completely different cut. Also if it's a younger hairdresser they'll definately know who Ashlee Simpson is and they'll probly give you the sort of cut you'll want straight away. Good luck with your hair.

commonly called a "side sweeping fringe"

this one has been razored (professionally of course!)

this fringe does not appear rounded beacause it has been straightened, personally i think this fringe should be rounded and just underneath your eyebrow. if you have this cut above your eyebrow, it will spring up everytime it has been washed
