I have found that most people who follow others ideas often do not care about truth, all they care about is that their little brainwashed boat keeps sailing along without any waves of reality disturbing them

I think that most people do care about truth; however, some people care about it, only IF it is their truth. They are hesitant to be proved wrong and then have to change. This is why there are so many Christians following the blind leading the blind. There are churches that mislead, or tell you exactly what to believe. Then there are cults; no one says "I'm in a cult"...as when you think you are following the truth, without first proving whether it is or isn't, you check your brain at the door, and you no longer care about truth. You then follow along with everything your Charismatic leader tells you is "TRUTH."
A real Christian should read and find about all they can, before deciding what is truth. If at some point later, they find out that what they believed is not the truth, they would not hesitate to change to what the real truth is.
I've seen so many people who have such strong convictions about a subject, that even when they are proved wrong, they stick with it! That says they don't care about truth.
As Christians, we are supposed to be growing all the time; never content to think that we have all the truth; as no one does. Changing when necessary, would be sign of a real Christian, who sincerely cares about the truth.

Of course they do, but religion can push them to be more selective when it comes to seeing the facts. For instance, there was a question a while back that asked if they believed that the story of the Arc is true. Most christians said yes, because it is in the bible. So here we have something that is impossible as no structure can be built that large out of wood. Yet they believe it blindly as "truth". So they care about the truth, whether it is factual or not.

Of course they do...as long as it is THEIR truth. If they really cared about truth they would not try to convert other none christians realizing that everyones religion is truth to the individual.
The goes in line with their belief that their God is the only true God. If they really believed in truth they would understand that different cultures have their own religions and that ALL GODS ARE ONE GOD. And Jesus Christ is just one among many. And that there is nothing wrong with that belief.

Truth" is purely subjective. Some people think truth is on TV. Some think it's their own viewpoint. Some think it's written in books.
So, they care about truth. As long as its their truth. Same goes with absolutely anyone on this earth
This is the best answer i guess

Yes we care about the truth. But with our God the truth can sometimes defy what is possible e.g. opening of Red Sea. bringing dead people to life e.t.c. Our God can achieve the impossible - and that's the truth

Yes they do as most of society does.
You post vague questions such as this and the whine about censorship.
Yahoo Answers set the guidelines. It is their forum. If you do not use it as it was intended, then the actions they take are up to them and not a particular group.
They can judge any question or answer the way they see fit.
The rules allow them that. It is not stopping free speech.
Do you understand yet?
Or should I type slower?
