Want to have a nice romantic evening- already tried cooking, but it wasn't so good, had candles and music, but I really can't cook! Also, I was in the kitchen the whole time, not with him, so any ideas what we can do (not anything sexual) for a nice evening together?

The most nicest thing any female ever did for me was to run a candle lit bath, lots of bubbles and we just soaked away the stress, drinking wine and listening to soft music and light hearted chat together.
It was wonder full after a hard day at work and really was most appreciated.

You say you can't cook. Well that is not true you may just be trying to cook the wrong things! Don't even think about the junk you see on TV Chef programmes!

Try Fillet Steak grilled to deep brown both sides (about 8 mins), Oven cook some frozen Roast Potatoes (20 mins) and warm up some tinned peas (6 mins) when done cover with Madeira Wine Sauce (from a packet!) and you have a super easy to prepare meal which will be really delicious.

Also a nice stew is very simple - chop spuds, carrots and any veg you like, put in pan, half fill with water add 2 table spoons of gravy granules some salt to taste and slow cook in a medium oven for 2 hours, top up liquid if necessary during cooking. Slow cooking makes meat very tender. Once this is in the oven you have almost nothing to do!! Real home cooking with almost no hassle to disturb your evening.

I presume you are not a young teenager? Well, then i suggest that a nice romantic evening that your boyfriend will like WILL actually include sexual things - cos that is what they like best!

You can add the frills that please you - candles, music, nice food etc etc but the thing that he will most enjoy is the sex!

If you dont want to cook, its probably better to go out to eat. A romantic evening starts by you getting yourself in the mood so dress up, book a nice restaurant, and when with him look at him, smile at him and really listen to what he's talking about.

I suggest you make a reservation on a fancy restaurant, with romantic live music, candle lights, competent and nice waiters/waitresses, if possible by the beach, where you can see a lighthouse, and hear the sound of the sea.
Or arrange a pic-nic in a nice park, with lots of wild life, where you can interact with the animals (I'm not including ants).
Or try to find out a place where your boyfriend would like to visit and book a hotel room there and make a tour around that place, visit an art gallery, museums, zoo, aquarium, etc.

Hope I helped.

You and your boyfriend could make a meal together. Even if it is just scrambled eggs on toast or baked-beans on toast, nothing wrong with that, nice cup of roasted coffee and pudding you bought from Asda or somewhere, they have lovely puddings. Then dvd and bottle of wine, cuddle , tell each other how much you love them and doss, go to sleep.

Try the candles and music again - but order a takeaway to be delivered. All the romance none of the stress.

Why dont you both go out for a stroll together to the beach with a bottle of non-alchohoolic wine and pizza(or any other pie you can buy). You can just talk and relax yourself as well with the soothing breeze of the beach.
Trying to plan special occasions can be frusrating cos first of all, you'll be a bundle of nerves trying to please and you have to schedule your timing to match his free time too.
