besides losing all your data, there is always the chance you'll re-read and feel the need to change it. I must say my 2000 diary would have been re-written by now if it was electronic.

Users of electronic diaries/reminders tend to form a dependency on them, this in turn can slowly erode ones short term memory. Much in the same way that the proliferation of pocket calculators has lessened the basic mathematical skills of younger generations. Also, a lost/stolen PDA/diary can compromise ones privacy.

It's very easy to forget to check it. Also you have to have it with you at all times, same as a pocket diary I guess.

Another thing is that it's not always practical to be messing about with a digital diary!
