Yes it will be perfectly compatible with Vista.
I went through the configuartion of this system and it seemed to be a pretty good one. Your laptop will definitely support 32-bit Vista version. Vista full installation requires about 8.5 GB of disc space and 512 MB of memory and since its Toshiba laptop the sound and graphics cards will be compatible with Windows.
But you may have to upgrade your RAM to 1 GB for better performance. Even in 512 MB it will work fine.

Most computers selling these days. After the Windows XP Home/Pro it has it will say somewhere in the item description if it is VISTA CAPABLE. If it does not then I would go on the Toshibas web site and see the specs on their site just to make sure. And Vista is not going to be a memory hog. It is supposed to utilize memory much better than XP has.....Thanks

I asked google last week and found a page (sorry I do not remember) which has a checker. It will tell you if your system is large enough. The Reviews say it is a fat piece of confusing Shi t.

If specs on Windows Vista are out, look at it and see. If specs are NOT out, anything said would just be speculation.

I suggest you try the Microsoft web site and look for the minimum requirements for Vista.

microsoft will tell you yes, but it probably will not run correctly or smoothly. better just to buy a new laptop with it preinstalled.
