If WW2 or Korean war was taken place today we would have lost both no doubt it with our current media, we lost thousands of men each day in WW2 36,000 in Korea we are averaging 2 casualty a day in Iraq (4 yrs divided by 3000) and our media says "it is a disaster we can't win it", that does not bode well for future conflict with the media we have now. America might be approaching a point where we are afraid to defend anyone unless we are violently attack first. History will eventually show that the constant negativism by our media have affected our will to meet these challenges. Vietnam is a good example we did not lose that war through a superior enemy, but years of negative news bias took it's toll.

In world war Two thousands of soldiers would die each day, in many cases, when we had campaigns or battles going.
It is a different war, with the media coverage I do not even know if there will ever be a "successful" war.

I read the question and saw a few answers before typing mine...Like the answer ...A walk in the park because millions died in previous war.....I am amazed... Because the very reason we went to war was either a LIE or a Colossal failure of leadership..pick one it does not matter...both are unbelievalbe in this day and time.... Secondly, the point that someone said that because not mny americans have died...I think too many...but, He said millions died in previous wars...Here is my point...Just because the people are not American ..It does not mean it is okay...Millions of innocent Iraqi's have died...As if Our lives have more significane and value that the life of an Iraqi...I love our troops and they are heroes... but to dismiss the value of a human life just because they were not born where you were is mind boggling and speaks to the very reason I can not Identify with most conservatives...They have that it is all about me attitude...It is sickening and the very Reason our country has lost the respect of the free world..."Borwnie, your doing a heckuva Job!"

Well considering millions died in the last war, the Iraq war seems like a walk in the park.
