This is not uncommon. Keep an eye on him/her...when your dog starts to lose too much weight, appears to be in pain, or has very little energy, a vet visit might be a good idea to decide what's best for your old friend. (I think you know what I mean.) Good luck.

Make sure the food you offer your old friend is easy to chew, swallow and digest. Give him the most nutritious food you can find for aging dogs. Give him lots of gentle affection. Let him know how loved he is and enjoy every minute you have together.

I'm not sure what your question is. But older dogs need less food since they expend less energy. Enjoy him while you can!

WELL YOU KNOW WHAT, HE OR SHE IS GETTING OLDER AND IS PROBALY HAD A WONDERFUL LIFE AND MAYBE THEY ARE READY TO END A WONDERFUL DOGGY LIFE. OR THEY MAY BE SICK. I SUGGEST THAT YOU TAKE HIM OR HER TO THE VET JUST TO BE SAFE. BUT EITHER WAY I AM SURE THEY WILL BE OK.
