Because the brand and type you purchased the freezer did not
come with a light!

My fridge/freezer did.

My all freezer came with a light.

Just depends on what kind and what added kudo's you purchased that's all.

The light is a bonus to see what you have when you open the freezer, it is NOT on when the door is closed.

I reckon the light will facilitate the bacterial growth. The light in the fridge will only be switched on when we open the fridge's door.

Ice will deposite on bulb glass and shall break the bulb due to un-equal expansion as bulb has no extra glass available for expansion without coming out of the seal which is for maintaining vaccume or inert gas which is inside the bulb.

Everything is wraped you cant see what it really is and if you use foil or freezer paper to the hunt is on
