I've just discovered that my boyfriend of 5 years looks at porn regularly and has kept it hidden for years. I'm sure that I'm just being insecure but I can't help feeling that he must compare me to the women he looks at. Does he imagine that I'm someone else during sex?

I don't think that he compares you to them nor does he imagine, that you were someone else. I honestly think, that it is very common, that men check out porn, even if they've got a partner. Probably he watches them when you are not at home. Maybe they satisfy some fantasies that he doesn't dare to communicate to you but still feels like "realizing" them on his own.

Maybe you could check out what kind of porn it is, and if you don't feel disgusted, lets hope it's something rather conventional, try to have a look at the things the girls do with the men or the otherway around. Maybe aferwards you could suprise your boyfriend with a new move or activity that you've observed on his videos. And than you could ask him whether realizing fantasies with you wasn't better than getting them served on celluloid... try to convince him of fantasising together with you.

Maybe he is a bit shy about talking openly about his sexual desires with you. If you dare to make the first step you might both benefit from it... and establish a higher level of trust and sexual fulfillment in your relationship.

yes. definitely. that's why he is looking at porn on the first place - to get inspiration. why don't u try and look more like those girls? for him i mean, not in every day life , maybe he won't need to look at porn then. good luck

ps. and do not try to ask him. that was a dumb advice from someone. no man ever will admit that he id dreaming about another woman while making sex (of course if he doesn't want to break up with that woman)

Those women he is looking at aren't real women....the pictures are all air brushed to make tham look perfect. Men tend to look at porn because they are very visual creatures....it doesn't mean he's not happy with you or comparing you to anybody. If anything he probably fantasizes about you while he's looking at porn instead of the other way around.Unless it gets out of hand I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Maybe you should stop being paranoid... Offer to do some of the things in the porn he likes... And use the porn to get yourself turned on and then the two of you can do some amazing things while looking through the porn or watching it on the computer/TV...

We only imagine that you're someone else during sex if you are butt ugly. If you've been together for 5 years, something about you still attracts you to him. Don't worry, we just like looking at naked women.

Men look at porn it's not that big of a deal.
He's not doing it because you're inadequate and i doubt he's comparing you to anyone..Men just like to look at women.

No one here can tell you whether or not he fantasizes of other women during sex.
