its always best to do the right thing, always. there's a saying that good character is doing what's right no matter who's looking. consider this..if you had broken up his relationship with his gf, then he cheated on you and married this other woman...imagine how it would have devastated you...now apply that to his former gf. one thing for sure, you may think they are happy now but studies and human nature confirm that once a cheater always a cheater. the appearance that he and his new wife are happy may just be that purely appearances or just the newness of marriage, give it a few years and then see how they are doing.

I think only you can answer that. If you decided at the time not to do anything live with your decision, whether you think its right or wrong there is nothing you can do about it now. Who's to say he would have had an affair with you anyway or that things would have worked out. He has found his "right" person and it doesn't matter how, the fact that they overcame so much to be together proves they are right for each other.

I always try to let my conscience take over when faced ith these dilemmas. It can often seem like you end up worse off for doing so, but it's important to be pragmatic about the result of your actions. Most people are normally pre-occupied with their own desires and wants and so rarely act selflessly these days. I don't think you did anything wrong.

Would have, could have, should have-?You never know. It would be a gamble with no guarantees. Life is unfair and we play with what we have. I myself was in the same boat and passed on a chance for romance and stayed with the gal I'm with.I'll never know but at least no one got hurt and since life is not perfect either- I'll survive.

It is always best to do the right thing. If you do something bad to get what you want it will turn out to be more of a curse than a pleasure.

We all have to live with the consequences of our actions, I would have done the same as you did. I would not want to think about the hurt I had coursed other people. The guy you mention went on to cheat on his wife, whose to say he wouldn't do it again.
