I was told in English people may say"Nobody remenbered to sign their names";however they don't say "Nobody remenbered to sign his or her names,"
So what is wrong with the later way of saying?
Hope you help with this, thank you.

Gone Car - I agree with the two answers above. Also remember we spoke before about how English generally prefers a shorter, simpler form to a longer, more complex form. So even if "Nobody remembered to sign his or her name" is grammatically correct you will, in practice, never hear anyone say that.

The word "remember" has been typed as "remenber". However the word 'nobody' is gender less and hence the word 'their' is used.

In speech, they would both be accepted, however, you would hear the first more often. To be grammatically correct, the second sentence should have these changes: "No one remembered to sign his or her name."

What you hear people say, versus what an English teacher would prefer you say are not always the same.

Hi, Gone Car,

I think it can be Nobody remembered to sign their name; or nobody remembered to sign her or his name.

No sure; but, think either way is acceptable.

Hope this helps.

It can be said:

Nobody remembered to sign his or her name.

or

Nobody remembered to sign their name. (singular)

or

No one signed their name.

or

They did not remember to sign their names. (plural)

b'cos 'nobody' is genderless so you don't need to put the his or her in. the latter way just sounds too wordy and unnecessary.
hope this helps!
