Any kind of tendonitis is very painful and strains can be painful too. It could last a few weeks if you're walking or using it alot. it is a part of the body that one tends to use a fair bit, even while trying to rest. it is going to be used for any kind of leg movement. Are you taking anything for it or have you a support on it? If it's not healed after a month I would return to the dr. You may need physio. Did it happen as a result of sport?Hope it heals soon. Good luck.

A groin strain can take anything up to 2 mths to heal completly, but all people are differant so it could be less or longer all depends on the person.Make sure you rest when you can and dont do no heavy lifting etc.Apply a cold compress but not directly on to the skin.If no better go and see your gp he may prescribe you something for the discomfort.Good Luck
