I am afraid that that question may never get a truthfull answer. I am not a christian, jew or muslim. I hav read the Quran (parts) and have always reference it to authentic sites.
The problem is that almost no christian would be able to read it open mindly because of their obsessive believ that Jesus "died for our sins". They refuse nto see that Sura 9, which is used to ambush muslims and islam, has to do with circumstances of war and the peace treaties.
Also, they accuse islam of polygamy yet throughout the bible polygamy occurs numerous times (remember solomon). And that no jew or christian criticise muhammad becoz of his wives during that time.
The truth is that unless people try their best to understand, without their previous misconceptions, that they will never learn.

I'll tell you why people misunderstand the Quran. It is actually because there are amny terrorists who kill people in the name of the Quran. Like people who involve in the Holy War and stuff. It is not holy at all. They just kill innocent people.

Though I don't know Arabic, I've seen examples where the translation into English has been...not very good at all, when the original intent is looked at...to the point where the meanings of words have been changed.

To all those who think they know Islam or know the Qura'an: Please do not speak of something you know nothing about. And I believe one should be wiser than to judge the true Muslims of the world by something said by a bunch of children, or their ignorant parents. If a bunch of Christian kids came up to me and called me "irhabiyeh" (terrorist), would I judge all Christians as bad or wrong ? God bless.

quran sucks since you are allowed to have many wives. The muslem men also are jealous and selfish and insecure that the rest of the world are progressing. Quran says if you kill a christian you go to heaven faster or some crap like that. I am sorry lady, but i think quran sucks. Convert to being a christian and love Jesus. he saved us. n the thingy is that most of the ppl havent read a word of Quran or done any research on it.. but post stuff as if they have read it all....
they dont even know that wut they r postin really exists in the Quran or not...
i have read alot of translations bein posted here which DONOT exist at all.. n they put surah numbers etc with it.. so that those who donot know abt it .. think of it as authentic!!!!

ppl understand quran right bcoz many verses n quran talk about killing jewish, christians and everyone believe n anything but islam that's found n many many verses in quran.

live n a muslim country and children around me call me "kafreh" and say bad things about my religion (Christian), their parents teach them that!
Just turn on ur tv and listen 2 all the muslim talkshows I think u'll find the answer 2 ur question!!
