No, they don't contribute to your 5 a day. Theyre not fruit or veg. But they are an excellent addition to your diet. They give you lots of slow-released energy to keep you alert throughout the day and provide lots of vitamins, minerals and protein. Can I recommend 'The Food Doctor' seed mixes (available from Sainsburys). You can get spicy ones which taste really yummy. Nuts are great too but in moderation.

Erm, no. They are nuts & seeds not fruit and veg. Totally different thing. Why don't you eat some nice fruits? They are lovely and nowhere near as fat as nuts and seeds (half fat, half protein).

No...these do add to the single serve of grains/seeds/legumes required in balanced diet that the UK Govt isn't yet advertising..they are pushing vegies and fruit to boost the industry.
Need also serve of dairy, meat (or alternative) and grains to keep healthy. Nuts and grains help bones, hormone levels, skin, nervous system

I really like both fruits and fresh vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

If perhaps it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

I don't think so; they're a good source of essential fatty acids though, so well worth eating all the same
