would you choose someone that you have lots of things in common with or someone that compliments you? Or are these two factors intervowen?

Both. Especially don't chose anyone that has traits that makes who you are negative. In orther words, someone's who qualities plays off your qualities making an unworkable couple, even if there is love. Love alone is not enough.

When choosing a partner, I think the points you made are interwoven, but the best is "someone that you have lots of things in common with.

emm..usually,i'm attracted to someone that is so...different from me.it just the attraction.it's going to be quite hard when u start a relationship with someone that is different from u but you will find it fun and interesting.

Both, but if you can study their parents and see how they are, usually good parent upbringing makes someone decent.
