You are looking for "truth" in the wrong place. I feel for you, though, and can appreciate your position. I enjoy science for what it does. But you can't clump evolution with science. Science is tangible and provable. Evolution is a "belief". You have to trust all the assumptions necessary to "prove" anything in evolution. Evolution is like a candle that is already lit when you enter a room and you want to figure how tall the candle was when you started. You have to assume 2 things. First, what time was the candle lit. Second, if you start measuring the rate of burn, you have to assume that it is constant. There is more evidence than you realize for creation. Check out drdino.com (the guy who is behind this just got into a bunch of trouble, but his science stuff is very interesting). Also check out answersingenesis.org.
Again, I can appreciate your desire for truth. You said that you were christian. So, while seeking for truth in science, don't lose sight of the cross. I did, while seeking as well, and I can tell you that it is not worth it. When you think of it. We can all search about the origins of life and be wrong. And that's ok. We will still enter heaven... as long as you believe that Jesus is who he said he was, he did what he did, repent, and trust in the savior.

Adam, broaden your information, people once thought that the world was flat. As far as evolution is concerned, you would be surprised to know that very few Christians give it much serious thought. We don't like that it is taught in school but other than that most of my friends and church members will tell you that evolution is not very high up on the thought food chain for us. As for the born gay theory the only part of that I will go along with is that at times nature makes a mistake. We are all inherently female, the introduction of a specific gene and either you end up with ovaries or testicles. Sometimes I do believe that a male doesn't get the amount of testosterone he needs to complete the transition. Being gay is a choice. Some people will defend by saying that being gay is a hard way to live and why would they choose to live a lifestyle that causes them to be ostracized by society. The answer is simple, people choose alternative, out of the societal "norm" lifestyles all the time. As for the truth we will never completely know the truth about everything. Faith does not close my eyes to the things around me in this world. I am an avid reader, I have a nursing degree and I have to read up on changes in science everyday. Being religious is not synonymous with being ignorant despite what the atheistic community says.

Science can never explain God.
Yes, religious leaders once taught that the earth was flat. This was during the time that the Bible was outlawed and people only had what their religious leaders told them. Note that the Bible has always stated that the earth is round.
I have to laugh about you saying that science is proving a man is born gay. Last semester I had a college class and we were given a ton of information about this theory. Even a lot non-Christians in the science community think that this theory is extreme.
You say you believe in God, do you believe because science says so? I would think not. Many scientists look at the same outside world and come up with many many different conclusions.
Does faith close one's eyes to examining evidence truthfully? No.
I have read books and books on evolution, and I can honestly say I think it is false. Even throw aside the fact that it is contrary to the Bible, I would still say it is false.
Are you not actually going against what you have just said? You do not follow a religion, but you do follow a large group of scientists.

Science is an intellectual knowledge acquired by man and not inherent in him. Acquired knowledge is subject to mistake and theories are explanations that seem to be true but not absolutely certain. I am Christian and I do not reject science. I consider science a consequential factor to seek the truth about the whole creation. At such, it is a delicate responsibility which is paramount to the highest order and essence of creation that must therefore be explained and concluded within the righteous boundaries of the CREATOR. Only then, shall individual reader considers such findings and conclusion, authoritative.

science sees an act of god then forms a theory about the act ,tries to prove the law by peer revieuw then holds the theory sacred
it was science that held the earth to be flat the bible in fact said it to be a void ,ovoid ,it is science that fractures gods creation to see how it works ,yet of its own science cannot even make a speck of its own dust let alone make the dust to live
see how we need to put into a vacated egg chromosonal; material ,science cannot make even an egg ,now science claims to be making a womb but it can only duplicate a god made wonb,
it can extract .distil fractions from the air god made even tranxsmute it but cant make its own air
science is men saying trust us ,as little children do
science can proove it can create pain ,even detect it wow science is tort-uring babies now in vitro how great is that ,this will proove mans highest mment for science
science looks on gods mighty works and says we scientists can make it better ,but what can they make better ,better thoery better bombs, when will science make a cure fior disease ,cure cancer ,we have had that scientific promise for decades now
just because science can predict in some cases cause and affect and describe it in a scientific jargon doesnt mean its not a simple latten description of what they are seeing
you feel better when a docter says in latin you have a bleeding heart on the left side, but has the description cured anything, science does all the options ,runs the numbers but creationists they are not ,fractional dividers sure
we finally got the genome sequanced right who wrote it into real life ,do the numbers trust god or trust man.
dont close your eyes because they got big words and big bank balance ,the childrens story of the bible linked winged angels [birds ]to snakes years before evolutionists did
finding the truth is the same as making it fit the facts or simple msking the facts fit what they saw.

Science has NOT Proved that a person is borne Homosexual.
There is NO Scientific Evidence of Multiple Dimensions.
Science has ALREADY PROVED that a BABY Feels Pain at 4 WEEKS GESTATION.
I'd Enjoy seeing Science Prove the existence of a Soul, That would be interesting.
We do believe in Science, but what you are talking about is NOT SCIENCE.

I don't think that Christians reject science as a method of seeking truth, but science is very biased. Most scientists are very athiestic and that affects their ability to be objective and they slant the truth towards what they want it to say. They ignore any evidence that points to creation and over thump us with things that lean towards evolution. We are tired of them ignoring clear evidence such as dinosaur tracks and man's tracks clearly found in the same mud flat in Texas. But it doesn't fit their bias so they ignore it.
Everyone believed that world was flat in that day including the scientists of the day so why do you center out religious leaders? isn't that biased?
What supports do you have for evolution? Darwins charts? What do they prove, they came out of someone's head, and even Darwin rejected it before he died.
You don't have as much proof as you think you do and scinece still can't produce something out of nothing, which is what would have had to happen for evolution to take place. And an explosion (which came from nothing) that is as big as the universe???? Really? And Carbon dating - Scientists dated new rock, volcanic rock that they watched form right in front of their eyes and it proved to be millions of years old, so how accurate is that.

You can seek the truth from three sources: 1) From a messenger of God 2) A book of God 3) Sience
Read the Koran ther is a lot of sience in it. Like how the featus is formed, read about earth, the sun, the univers, the big bang theory is verified in the koran (can you imagine), commets, farming. Don't think of sience as something different from religion but on the contrary it complements. For example sience prooved to me that the Koran is definitly written by God because it mentioned sienteific facts 1500 years ago that we humans only discovered recentky. Like the mouuntains are different entity from earth and there function is to balance earth. God describe mountains (as the sticks that hold the tent I don't what they're called in English) and sience discaovered recently that montains keep the Earth equilibrium in its orbit and that the bigger part of the mountain is deep inside Earth just like the tent sticks.
Good luck on judgment day

Well, that's bull crap right there, people aren't born gay, they chose to be gay. People have free will to chose and therefore we don't always chose the right thing, instead of we distort the truth to fit the lifestyle we're living, and that's any kind of lifestyle. Science isn't going to discover "the truth" because Jesus said I am The Truth and The Life. And evolution is crap, there is no proof of that, if there was there wouldn't be any more monkeys.

Christians do no longer reject technological know-how in any respect. What we reject is technological know-how attempting to disprove God, while in fact, it purely honors Him greater desirable via exhibiting his capability. we don't even reject evolution (a minimum of no longer all of it). i've got confidence there is information for microevolution (people as we talk having fewer or no expertise tooth) and organic selection (is sensible that something terrific suited for its ecosystem may be the only to proceed to exist), yet there is no longer adequate information to declare that each and one and all issues got here from a worry-unfastened ancestor (do you recognize the way long that ought to take?! we've speeded up the evolution of dogs hundreds according to risk hundreds of years, and all we've are categories of dogs, no longer a sparkling animal). and in spite of if macroevolution is chanced directly to be actual, it nevertheless does not disprove God, yet fairly shows his approach of introduction. to declare technological know-how does't exist could be idiotic.
