She is your daughter and it is you job to protect her. SHe is 21, but she sounds like she still needs some help with choices. Someone laying their hands on someone is never okay. it is NEVER acceptable. My advice is to take your child out of that situation and keep her save. Teach her the basics of dating good men and not ones that will hurt her. I would get her into see a councelor and work through why she feels it is okay to be with a man who hurts her. Remember.. YOU are her MOTHER.. NEVER stay out of a situation that may hurt her. Good Luck!

here is the thing, she is 21 unless she is willing to file charges on him there is not much that you can do, if you were to call the police she would only lie and then she would be mad at you. but what you could do is go directly to this idiot look him in the eye and tell him if he ever touches her like that again you will call the police, let him know that you mean what you say, and tell him this in front of her, so that she to knows. now what could happen is that she wont tell you if he does anything like this again. but it is the chance you have to take. i have a feeling this is not the first time nor will it be the last. the sad reality is alot of girls now days will allow this to go on for a long time before they will leave. sometimes they may never leave. i just hope that the two of them don't end up having kids together.

Easier said then done!

There are many things to consider here, but the one you need to focus on is the safety and well being of your daughter. So she'll lie to protect him, so she'll stop talking to you or be angry, if this is all you are worried about then you have nothing to worry about. These are minuscule things in a much larger problem. You are saving a life, her life, the life of your daughter! The law has changed throughout the years, domestic abuse is one of the number one problems we have in this world today....and you and your daughter definitely do not want to be a statistic do you? So call the police, ,or a victim support centre and let them guide you.
Good Luck and best wishes for a safe departure from him!

Believe me, if you dont interfere and she ends up dead, you are going to hate yourself for the rest of your life. Tell her to call a hotline and get some help...she needs to get out of that situation!
