The whole part of obtaining the personal licence now is to show you can promote effective "awareness" to drinking. If any pub runs a happy hour and then has any trouble that the police are called, you may have difficulty explaining to the magistrates that you are responsible to serve alcohol.
You will find it is mostly managed pubs that still run them as they are under more pressure from the breweries to sell more.

Its not so common, but yes a lot of pubs still have them. Most pubs nowadays just have drink offers. I.e. my local pub always has 5 aftershocks for £6 and any 5 other shots for £5

Some do, but they are usually something stupid like 5-7 so you either miss them cuz they are too early or you go and end up in a mess before 9pm! Think a lot of pubs favour cheap days in the week, or offers on certain days. Weekends are only for the rich nowadays!

no pubs like to encourage misery hours, a full hour where they play phil collins and make you cry inot you pint, which they put the price up on by £30, and then they kick you out into the street and laugh at you, yes laugh with pointy pointy fingers.
and then they laugh some more, ha ha they say, we are laugh at you haha, miserable person, and blow smoke in your eyes for a laugh, and tyhey say laugh in the posh way with the long A sound like persons from the home counties, bah.
and an hour always lasts about 3 anyway in pub time

my local had a daily one from 5-6, but it just meant the pub was empty from 6 onwards! The place has closed down now so maybe happy hour didn't work for it!

i imagine politicians are lacking the important aspect. those who're inflicting problem are already less than the impact of alcohol by technique of the time they attain the pubs and golf equipment by technique of shopping for lower priced booze in supermarkets and so on Why might want to something those who drink sensibly not have get correct of entry to to those promotions because of a set of neds getting pissed on buckfast bought from the food market or off licence btw chuffed hour isn't a clean idea that is the oldest contained in the licencing commerce. a minimum of four hundred YEARS old yet another custom destroyed by technique of nanny state regulations of those who've no theory about tthe genuine difficulty accessible

Some places still have them ,but they are usualy frequented by lowlife who are to tight to pay normal prices.. The type of people who should not be allowed in pubs in the first place.. Eg.Tramps,Alcohollics and the unemployed
