It's pretty amusing to see those U. S. Christian teens keeping their virginity till marriage who regularly practise oral sex, for example, or Muslims praying devoutly after drinking koumiss (alcoholic drink) in Mongolia.

So how many of the people do actually know how to serve the deities? How many understand who is God? How many understand the words of the holy scriptures?

I firmly believe that Jehovah's Witnesses are the true religion. They have Jehovah's Holy Spirit operating on them as a whole and as such are blessed to be able to have a accurate and thorough understanding of God's Holy Word.We attend five meetings a week where we are constantly being trained to be efficient ministers of God's Holy Word and are continuously being reminded of God's righteous standards and what he expects from his disciples. There is no room for hypocrisy and it is not tolerated. The Bible simply states that you cannot eat from the table of Jehovah and from the table of demons - it is one or the other. And as Jehovah's Witnesses we know who we would rather be serving. We know Jehovah to be the only true God and we are happy to continue receiving his instructions for us through his Holy Word, the Bible(Ps.83:18;2Tim.3:16,17)

I think a lot of people do understand their religion. The problem lies in that many that follow a religion twist it to their own views and others who know better still do what they want under the cover of saying "they are weak" or "they couldn't help themselves" or the worst excuse yet, "I am only human."

Of course people will not be able to live up to 100% of what their faith asks of them all of the time but the real challenge is to always make the attempt to do the right thing.

i believe a very small percentage of people really understand their religion.if a person really understands their religion, they will practise it,cuz i dont think thr's any religion tht teaches its followers anything bad.basically, the message of almost every religion is the same...be good, turn away frm the bad, don't commit any sins etc.etc. so thn, if people do practise their religion, just as told, i don't think the world would be in the condition it is in now.

That's what happens when a religion is followed by people that dont have any connection to it. christianity is a Middle Eastern Religion and those that are NOT of Middle Eastern descent will NEVER get it right...Same for Islam and Judiasm...and until the TRUE inheritors of those religious and spiritual traditions disavow all those that aren't of the true blood and force them out...the problem will continue and only get worse...

Your argument is faulty for many reasons.

Foremost, to truly understand Christainity, one must spend nearly a life time studying theology from its beginning to its end. This requires 40 plus years of work.

Yet, you reference children and young adults and not understanding religion fully. Of course they don't. They are young. They have not invested the time to understand the truth of the matter.

We are sinful creatures after all. We will make mistakes.

To prove my point, I will use a simple Platonic proof. Please answer honestly and you will find your answer.

Who has more wisdom - the farmer who has been at his trade for 1 year or the farmer who has been at his trade for 40 years?

Which would you go to for guidance in farming?

Who has more wisdom - the teacher who has been at his trade for 1 year or the teacher who has been at his trade for 40 years?

Which would you go to for guidance in teaching?

Who has more wisdom - the pilot who has been at his trade for 1 year or the farmer who has been at his pilot for 40 years?

Which would you go to for guidance in piloting?

So why then, are young Christains any different?

Not many people take their beliefs seriously. They find ways to keep doing what they want to do.

I don't think its a matter of understanding, it is a matter of acting. Its one thing to think about doing good, its another thing to actual do good.

Many don't but some do...

The fact is that Satan has become their tight friend, Satan does not concern with the religion you follow, but just everyone can be his friend...
