All media players should be able to play all kinds of video/audio. These players just differ in looks but actually show the video in the same way. If you are using windows xp, you can use windows media player that came with it.
What is important is, you should install the codec that is required for the media player to decode the video that you wish to play.
Please see a sample codec ->http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/

I don't know what to tell you. If you made an MP3 cd, your truck CD player may not be able to play MP3 files. Also, if you burned it on a CD-RW, your truck may not be able to play anything but a CD-R. I know for a fact if you burned it on a DVD it will not work.
