Six packs this are the obsession for most of the males and females. All gym goers dream about sxi packs...

But the reality is all people can not get the so called six packs despite of their tremendous work out. The reason the appearance of depictable cuttings in the body depends entirely on ur body configuration. And depends on the fat percentage on ur cells too.

If your body falls in the category of ectomorph or messomorph..waaahhh.. u have naturally the six packs. Just u do minimum work out the six pack can be visible.

Otherwise, if you are endomorph or endo meosomorph, u have to stop dreaming of the six packs. Instead u can tone ur body with good structure.

Doing sit ups, is the number one myth in body building. Regular doing of sit up will hamper ur back and gives u a permanent back failure.

If you want to kow more about on this pls do not hesitate to write me.

People who are extremely fit get a "six pack" it's not just down to sit ups every night.

You can do oblique curls, reverse curls, use a medicine ball, go running, but fitness is the key. All these athletes that have six packs work out most days, and have a personal trainer.

Happy exercising!

Ok, forget the jokes about walking, running or jogging to the pub or Off licence. You'll get the 6 pack but will end up with a big belly and fat legs.

Sit ups or weights are the best way since they use the muscles that you are trying to build. Anything that forces you to use that particular muscle group.

Happy sweating!

Abdominal muscles 'bulk up' in exactly the same way as other muscles.

A 'six pack' is just the effect of a very bulky RA ('rectus' (latin for 'vertcal') abdominis) muscle. This is the surface layer out of four overlapping sheets of muscle. THEY NEED TO WORK IN COOPERATION ! (concentrating on RA enough to form a six-pack is VERY bad for your back.)

If you are determined to go ahead and produce the DANGEROUS but glamorous egg-box abdomen, you need to work them like a bodybuilder would.

Long sets (more than 20 reps) build endurance, and make your muscle flat & dense. For bulk, you need to EXHAUST the muscle in less than 20 reps.

You can do this by adding weight (hold a disc on your chest; as you progress, hold it behind your head or hold a bigger disc) to your situps, or by adding leverage.

If you use an INCLINE BOARD (pedantically, it should be DE-cline; your feet are higher than your head), which is a common piece of gym equipment with straps at the top to hook your feet under, your RA must work harder to bring your ribs and hips together (against gravity). You can also progress this exercise by adding a weight disc.

You can obtain a piece of equipment called GRAVITY BOOTS (actually a clamp for your ankles, which can be hooked onto a bar or bracket) that allow you to hang upside-down to perform your situps (and perhaps some other exercises to allow other 'core' muscles to support your overworked RA).

If Gravity boots cannot put a six pack on you, then you are truly inhuman, and should donate your body to medical science.

HOWEVER, your current abilities are much more useful than the six-pack you desire; perhaps you'd be better off working on your overall waist capability (add side curls and floor flowers (face down, star shaped, hands & feet as high as possible, rest, repeat.) to your repertoire) and versatility.

Do situps while lying upside down. Many multi-gyms have benches that hang on the main frame with foot holders. This positions you as if you were lying on stairs with your feet top and head bottom. This hugely increases the effectiveness of the exercise.
(Obviously stairs would be uncomfortable and probably dangerous - but that's the angle you want)

You need to do cardio work. I mean, if you have even a small layer of fat then none of that six pack will be visible. You need to peel off that layer. Go for 5-mile jogs every other day.

The most effective exercise is to drive down to your corner store. If you go in there, they can find you what you seek. People often ask this question.
