Add layers, they always look good no matter what the style. They will make your hair thicker though, so if you're hair is already thick there will be no need for layers. Unless you have a tendency to split ends try a few highlights in a pretty colour such as red or blonde through your hair. Don't go overboard. My hair's around shoulder length too, but I'm growing it. My hair grows quickly though (an inch a month), but eventually I'd love my hair to be long (halfway down back at least) with a few blonde streaks. Remember to get trims frequently (once every six weeks if you can afford it) and always use a conditioner and metal free hair-ties.
:)

Styles come and go, today woman have hardly any time, so the styles are generally short hair for ease of grooming and washing.
Once you find the style that appeals to you try it and take an opinion of some candid person. Remember you must like it first on you, if not try something else in few months they do grow.
I am sure you will find few that suites you and you feel comfortable with and people around you also are comfortable with it , if you are working , then it must meet the dress code too.
Now you can safely use those styles and time permitting try new ones that come to your area.

Well, there isn't a "THE" hairstyle. There are many that are fasionable and cute. Here are some of the more "cool" cuts:
<>Inverted bob (where it's shorter in the back and gets gradually longer in the front)
<>Layers (different lengths all over)
<>Sassy bob (short with layers and the layers are flipped out with a flat iron.)
<>Side swept bangs(bang that get longer towards the sides)
<>Long hair
Any cut is "in" if it looks good on you and YOU feel good about it!

A lot of kids in Chi-town are getting really crazy with cuts and color nowadays. Like that first link... I really love these bangs... not necessarily the color, although I think its really unique. Overall I'm for the really choppy thing goin on. And then that second link is totally Euro-trash and funky. I'm sure you wouldn't have to leave it that short on the top and back, but I think its cute.

short hair will make a around face seem rounder, you could desire to flow shoulder length or a splash longer to elongate your face a splash. i'm undecided if short hair is extra user-friendly or harder to straighten or no longer, yet i can't see the place it may be harder on account that there is far less of it to handle. Sorry i'm no longer lots help on that one.

wel the pob is really in fashion now, its like victoria beckham style but if your not looking for something that short then try lots of layers at the back and maybe a long fringe sweeping to the side,

Boys cut. Try and impress others rather than copying some one. Be a fashion creator.

Hair style depends on the shape of your face, body, your age and several other factors. Nobody can just tell a style to you. It is a beautician's job.
