Because your eyes have been opened. Well, at least to the "Jesus" bit. Eventually you may be able to think logically about the WHOLE thing and come to the conclusion that gods do not exist.

I was raised Christian also. I studied the Bible in the same way you have. I have come to the exact opposite conclusion than you. I read the Bible and believe more and more.
The term "Son of God" does not mean God's servants. Here are verses that describes Jesus as the Son of God:
Matthew 4:3,6 ; 8:29 ; 14:33 ; 26:63 ; 27:40,43,54 ; Mark 1:1 ; 3:11 ; 15:39 ; Luke 1:35 ; 3:38 ; 4:3,9,41 ; 22:70 ; John 1:34,49 ; 5:25 ; 11:27 ; 19:7 ; 20:31 ; Acts 9:20 ; Romans 1:4 ; 2 Corinthians 1:19 ; Galations 2:20 ; Ephesians 4:13 ; Hebrews 4:14 ; 6:6 ; 7:3 ; 10:29 ; 1 John 3:8 ; 4:15 ; 5:1,5,10,12,13,20 ; Revelation 2:18
None of the uses describe a servant of God as the Son of God.
Yes, Peter describes Jesus as a man. Jesus was a man, a servant of God, the Messiah, and the Son of God.

Throughout the Old Testament (the Hebrew text of the christian bible) there are futuristic references to Jesus--his coming, his birth, his being a "messiah", his being the "scapegoat" for the "sins" of all human beings. That is the "connection", as you put it, between the old and new testaments. Another "connection" is the old testament makes numerous references to "law" and how this messiah (Jesus) will come to fulfill the law and thereby open the way for "grace". About worshiping "God alone"...Jesus is described innumerable times as the "Son of God", the "Right hand of God", and as "God, the Messiah" and "God, the Savior". The term "son of God" does not "always" refer to God's servants, as you suggest. Most often, the "son of God" is in reference to Jesus. And yes, Jesus was a man, a servant of God....AND the Messiah. Christians believe very strongly in the human-ness and the "other-worldly" aspects of Jesus--that Jesus was both God and human...a paradox that only God/Jesus/Holy Spirit could create.
I hope the above ramblings help you out a bit.

According to the Bible, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The Jews of the Old Testament made sacrifices every year for the sins they had committed. There was an entire tribe, the Levites, that did nothing but keep the sacrifices going. Why were the sacrifices necessary? Because all people sin, that is they break God's commandments, and the penalty for sin is death. NOBODY could keep God's law - not the preists, not the kings - nobody. But God loved us so much that He had to find a way to meet the requirements of His own law. So he send his Son to live as a human, except without sin, so that He (Jesus) could die in our place. He could do that since He had no sin of his own. I could not die for your sins because I have sinned and my death would only cover my sin, but Jesus died for us all because He did not have any sin of His own to pay for.
As for Jesus in the Old Testament, his coming is fortold many times there. Here are a few: In Isaiah 7:14 His birth is fortold. Daniel Chapter 9 deals with when he would come. Daniels prophecy was so accurate that many have tried to prove that is was written after the events took place, but writings were unearthed in the excavation of ancient Babylon that proved when he lived and wrote.
I have to get ready for work now, but I hope this helps you! Please ask more questions as they come up and I will try to answer them. I will post a followup blog with some more Old Testament references to Jesus.

Convert to Islam, the book was given to Muhammad(PBUH
) by Allah and it's His word. It also says Jesus (Isa)(PBUH) is not the son of God. Like Ali said, the Koran has never changed.By the way, give Slave the best answer, it's the truth about Jesus. Also, I'm an ex-Christian, now Muslim.

You truly sound like someone being deceptive to me. What does only begotten son mean to you? have your read the book of John? almost anywhere you go in the New Testament it will tell you who Christ is? do you think just any man can forgive sin? raise the dead? be resurrected? atone for sin? Are you a Muslim is it good for a Muslim to lie to protect his faith? Is the Muslim religion based on lies? could it be because your prophet lied about the word of God? Christians are not so easily deceived by the devil. You really should consider reading the Bible it teach's about God who is holy and teach's not to lie but those that lie are the sons of the liar the devil.that my friend is what Jesus teachs and it fits any religion that teach's its people to lie.

Jesus is almighty God. He received worship a number of times in the NT. Jhn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Check out this site:

You need to pray; talk to God the Father and get to know Him. It is His Spirit which will guide you into all truth.
When you read with your natural mind, all you see is words. When you read with the regenerated reborn mind you begin to see Christ all through the old testament as well as the new testament; it is said, "In the old testament, Christ concealed; in the new testament, Christ revealed".
Jesus did say worship God alone, but you will notice that He allowed "doubting Thomas" to worship Him... because He IS God.
Jesus is called the son of God by not only Peter (see john 6 and 16), but by all the disciples (inferred by the text of John 6) and by God the Father Himself (Matthew 3:17) heck, even the Roman soldier at the cross declared that this was truly the Son of God...
The big mistake a lot of people make is reading the text without consulting the author... talk to God, and the pages will light up for you! Hope this helps

You are right, Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) never claimed divinity. Its just the misconception prevailed among many people that Jesus Christ is the saviour and therefore sin as much as you like.
I suggest you to watch these videos on comparative religion studies to find out the truth.

If you worship God the Father, it is also worship to Christ. It is the Father's will to worship Christ, as written in the book of Hebrews 1:5-6
“For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.”
We should not be picky on whom to worship. Your acknowledgment of Christ is also your acknowledgment of the Father. Your worship of the Father is also your worship of Christ. You should not set aside one of them. If you set aside one, then you are an anti-Christ! It is written in I John 2:22
“When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.”

You are completely correct. The bible says to worship God and god alone, not Jesus. It says to accept Jesus as our savior. People have misinterperted that for way to long. Also the bible says to not create idols, or worship an object and yet people walk around with crosses around their necks, and bow down to statues of Mary. It's all messed up, email me if you have any questions.
