What made the ANZACS different.... That's the question?

Well... From go they were intrested in too things... self preservation AND completion of mission. They were intresteseted in them in equal ammounts.

They were compassionate. The ANZACS were compasionate. When they were in a possision too take prisoners they did so in and kept them in a manner that can only be considered compastionate.

They were feirce. I wouldn't wanna force thier hand. The brits? This crap with the following of the officer an such... that's all kinda old... You go to OZ and suddenly that officer is your next door neighbor. Would you fight harder for your next door neighbor or some ponce in a house made of rocks?

They trained like they wanted too live AND whoop ass. The brits trained like the were gonna get stomped on.

You really want me too go on?>

I can edit this if you do.

Bottom line. The Poms don't have the personal respect for thier officers that the Aussies do.... From personal experiance. Your Division Officer is some one you should trust... If you don't ... you can bet he's gonna get you all kinds of dead. The poms never got their head around how important this relationship was.

The Anzac's young men that went to the other side of the world, fought like no one had seen before ,they looked out for their mates nobody was superior they were all in this together, they dug in to the hills and advanced they defined our history and our young country, they gained the respect of the Turkish soldiers and their military leader had this to say about our Anzac's.

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...you are now lying in a soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where you lie side by side now and in this country of ours...you the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears;your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives in our country .They have become our sons as well.

I am sorry if I waffled on but they make me so so proud of my country. They were different to the British because they had no class system they were all in the same boat.

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps = ANZAC

The British I believe tried to take over with their own personnel, but only gave orders to ANZAC as a whole.

I could be wrong (haven't researched this) but I think part of it was to do with the hat they wore to shade them from the sun (rim turned up with a feather stuck in it) and the fact that most were 'Diggers' therefore the nickname of Aussie soldiers today....this is a really good question by the way...

Well as you know the British are the best in the world and because they train the Aussies and the New Zealanders they are probably the second best. The British have the heart of a lion and many generals in history have said the British are the best.
