my girlfriend has lied to me and cheated on me once before...i went to her room to say goodnight and caught her talking to her ex boyfriend at 1:30 in the morning, am i dumb for being mad at her? when it was just her ex, in which they are just friends now?

so she told me she doesn't care anymore, so i broke it off and she is really really sad, she is missing her classes and is blaming it on me, but i feel better now that i don't have to worry about it...thanks yall

no not dumb but you need to talk to her and tell her how you feel. and that its inappropriate for her to be doing this when she's with you.

I'm sorry, but, dude, you answered your own question? A relationship is base on trust, she cheated on you once, you will not be able to trust her again. My boyfriend of 7 years cheated on me once. For 6 years he had try to regain my trust for him back. The relationship ended 6 years after he cheated, cause no matter what, once you lost the trust, you can never gain it back. I believe once a cheater always a cheater. When he cheated on me, i had lost all my self-esteem, confidence and faith in all men. I can't have a decent relationship with anyone without messing it up by not being able to trust any of them! Honestly, just leave. Cut your loss short. You will be happy you did later on. Trust me, in the long haul, it's for the sake and sanity of both of you.

Girls talk to guys for one reason, attention. She is obviously looking for attention from guys elsewhere and every girl will hang on to a relationship right until they think they can trade up - then they're gone.
Take charge of your life. She is dictating the terms of the relationship and that means you will simply be getting from her as little as she can give you and still get what she wants.
Cut your losses and move forward.

ya dump her and im a girl saying this...trust me if i was talkin to a guy at 1:30 in the morning it would be bc i like him unless i had a problem and needed that friends help or i was drunk and just wanted to talk to someone out of boredom

Well it is understandable that you are a tad upset, i mean that is natural, however I think before flying off the handle or doing anything rash, you should talk with her ( temper down) and properly analyze the entire situation.
