HOUSTON - America’s largest church celebrated its move into the former arena for the Houston Rockets with a capacity crowd of 16,000, an upbeat sermon from its televangelist pastor and a spirited welcome from the governor of Texas.
“How do you like our new home?” Lakewood Church pastor Joel Osteen asked to thunderous applause. “It looks pretty good doesn’t it? This is a dream come true.”
The new home for the nondenominational Christian church is the former Compaq Center, once home to the Rockets.

The Roman Catholic Church. Statistically speaking 1/3 of the world is Catholic.
Edit: Why are people giving us all bad ratings? It's the truth. Roman Catholicism is the largest. You may not like it or agree with their belifs but their following is HUGE!

That's difficult to say, as many churches claim even past members as still being a part of them.
Many a Jehovah's Witnesses has been denied having their names removed from the Catholic Church rolls. Mormons baptize people in the name of others, mostly gathered from the research they have done on family trees. I have a friend who has been baptized many times in the names of others.
How does a church establish its numbers? Is it by attendance or by someone actually studying and becoming an active part of the church? In the JWs, they only count those who are active publishers, putting in at least six hours a month in the field work. To get anything close to an accurate number, you have to look at the attendance for the yearly Memorial of the Last Supper.

Catholicism is the largest in the world, clocking in at over a billion people. (The world population is currently a bit below seven billion, so that's a LOT.)
In the US, Protestant Christianity holds it; as to specific denominations, Baptists are the largest, but Catholics still reign supreme (i.e., larger as a whole than any Protestant denomination).

In terms of US membership, the largest denomination is the Roman Catholic Church. Worldwide, the largest assembly is the Roman Catholic Church. Here are two websites to document it.
