I was in a car accident on July 5th, 2006 and my friend was the driver. She has State Farm as her insuance company. They have paid for all my medical bills but does any one know how long it should be before they pay me for the days i missed of work? The agreed to pay and I have sent them all the info they need, but i can't get any response from them about why they haven't sent me a check yet. Any one know what's going on?

What you need to do is call them and ask them who is handling that part of the claim. Insurance companies have two parts of the claim. One for medical the other for inconveniences (loss of wages falls under this category). they have two different parties that deal with the claim.
My daughter was in an accident while her friend was driving 12 days after you. I have had many of complication. Because the medical part of the claim between the hospital and the insurance company and have refused to settle on the inconvenience part of the claim until the medical part of it is settle and paid. I don't want to profit from the situation however I don't want to be in debt for over 3,000 dollars.
Normally they will forward that part of the claim to the person in charge of the inconvenience. The person in charge of your claim will have to review it then send you the check.
You need to call the insurance company and ask them who is in charge of the claim that part of the claim. They should give you a number you can contact. Then ask them if they have reviewed your case. (Make sure that it didn't get lost or put back etc.) and when you would be receiving your money.
GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU HAVE IT SOON. within the month after contact you should have it.

It could be anything. It could be that they can't reach anyone at yoru employer's office to verify the time off. It could be that your medical records don't support the time you missed. Are you sure there is wage loss coverage on the policy? I'm not sure what state you're in and that does make a difference as to whether it's automatic or optional. Why don't you call and ask for the examiner's supervisor? We obviously can't tell you exactly, and that's the best more direct way to find out.

An insurance company never sends you anything until they have verified the information you provided with your employer. Some insurance companies ask that your employer provide them with information and if it has not been submitted yet then you will have to wait until they do. Also do you have a lawyer? because if you do, they technically can't talk to you. You would have to contact your attorney. If you can't provide them with real proof, that you had a job and you lost time, then you won't get reimbursed.
