The key word in your question is "good". If you are spraying furniture with a gloss paint they work good. If you are using latex paint on a smooth wall, you'll want to follow the sprayer with a roller to arrive at a satisfactory finish. Surface preparation is more critical with a sprayer because you are not forcing the paint into the pores as you do with a brush or roller. Depending on the sprayer, clean up can consume all the time you saved painting. Good Luck
