You know how the Bible says that everything happens for a reason. And every homosexual can agree that they did not choose to be gay. Maybe it was to teach people around them about tolerance or maybe to love people that are different? What do you think?

I don't know about "designed", but homosexuals ARE born that way.

If God--and I mean the Biblical God--created some people with a specific disorder that compelled them to sin, He did it to try them personally. You don't see the God of the Bible going around compelling people to sin in order to teach other people about tolerance. It just doesn't happen anywhere in the book.

If the fact that God--the fictional character in the Christian Bible and Jewish Old Testament--condemns homosexuals (both male and female) disturbs you, maybe you should find a different religion.

Hinduism doesn't condemn homosexuality. Maybe you should look into becoming a Hindu.

Whatever you do, don't pick and choose among the passages of the Bible to pretend that "God" condones whatever lifestyle you believe is moral. The Christian God condemns homosexuals and "witches" and "unbelievers" to death. That is a god some would feel is not worth following.

I think he did to teach lessons that need to be taught. I do believe that every thing happens for a reason, so God probably had some purpose for homosexuals

According to most Christian-based religions He must have. As a Catholic I was taught that God was All-Knowing, All-Present, and All-Mighty. At the dawn of creation He knew everything that was going to happen 'til the end of time and beyond. He created everything and knew from the get-go how everything was going to turn out, including men, women and their sexual attractions for one another. If one is to say being gay is a choice it is a human choice and humans (according to most religions) were created by God with all their idiosyncrasies. Maybe they were created by God to combat overpopulation. Or maybe everything is random, as it often seems.

All evidence suggests that about 10 percent of the population is homosexual. This is for all people, in all countries, throughout all of human history, as far as we can tell. That means for example, that there are just as many gay Republicans as Democrats. Also, it is not unique to humans and is evident in other animal species as well. This consistency across space and species, and through time is strong evidence for a biological/genetic basis.

So, if you want to call it as being God or nature, the answer is still, yes.

Well, I'm proud to be gay because God made me that way. Why? Because maybe he wanted to teach people about tolerance. Or maybe he was bored with the heterosexual world and said, "Hey let's make some gay people to liven the place up a bit!"

Edit: Gees people, learn to take a joke! I'm just as Christian as the rest of you and I know God loves everyone regardless of their sexual orientation...

It isn't what people think about homosexuals. It is what God thinks. I would pray and ask God to show you the trueth. He will talk with you. I pray that God help me to know what he wants. In the end, it is what he thinks. God is a loving and caring God. As long as you are serving him with all of your heart, soul and mind he will answer you. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. I myself don't believe that God ment for any of us to be gay. I do love those who are that way and I hope and pray that God helps them with what ever they are going through.

When God created man He said it was very good. God created man to be perfect man and women to be perfect woman. When Adam sinned the purity of man and woman became corrupted and man began to have some characteristics of woman and woman put on some characteristics of man. God has created man and woman perfect only the wages of sin has caused mankind to develop defects of all kinds. Gays are part of the consequences of the fall of man.

No. If you're gonna follow thestory of adam and eve. Adam is obviously the guy,Eve is the woman, right? God only made Man and Woman and the reason why he burnt down Sodom and Ghomora (not sure of the spelling, sorry) is because gays were there. And never has it been mentioned in the bible that Gays were created.
