I don't follow horse racing at all, but at Melbourne Cup time I do become a pretend horse racing expert. I was certain that Yeates would win, lost $20 but had a great time at the pub!!

This is where I get my unfair advantage from years of working at the races. My first year I won over $1,800 on a $6 4 horse boxed trifecta. Not giving away my tips but I would like to see Viewed win, been around a while and being one of Bart Cummings horses, why shouldn't he win. Master O'Reilly's been around a while too. Put me down for 1 - Viewed. Heck I may not be tipping it but give me a Quinella on 1 - Viewed and 4 - Master O'Reilly. Have I missed something or does Waterhouse have no horses in the Melb Cup this year? Martin is right, favourites hardly ever win. Quite often they don't even finish top 3.

Many sweeps in the workplace. But I couldn't pick a winner. In fact of the 3 horses I picked one scratched before the race even started and the other two came 18th and 19th. I guess I will wait until next year and try again.
