Well, did you ever consider the fact that He might have just appeared; but you didn't recognize him?
Because you had a preconcieved notion as to what you wnted to appear before you.
And then, consider the original saying was closer to "Call my name and I shall be beside thee"
He is always beside you trying to help you see the Light.
Pity is you wanted to see something else, hence that's what you got.
Ask, and it shall be given, remember?
If you really want to see Jesus, then don't keep all these thoughts in your mind and call Him.
You get just what you are thinking while you mouth the lie.

Just read the story below.
One man who strongly beleive ( as you said ) in God's appearence before him when he pray, was caught held at the roof top of a buliding during a flood ( the total 5 storied building was drowned ), he started praying to God to rescue him, a boat approached him and asked him to get in the boat so that they can rescue him from the flood, this man said iam praying to God he will help me so you pls leave, the boat left. Then sometimes latter a helicopter came to rescue him but again he said God will appear and help him, but the flood rose and he was swept away by the flood and was drwoned and dead. He then met God in heaven and asked him why didnot he appear before him when he prayed for help, God replied i sent you those boat and helicopter, you denied their rescue!!!
So it seams your are that man.( iam not a Christian or Muslim )

He will answer you and He wont lie... He knows when to answer you and may be He already did... but were you there or listening when He spoke to you..He wont come like magician or like a cartoon superheroes (i.e superman) but as he said in the bible, He will come like a thief when nobody notices Him.... so its you that must be prepared to realise when He come and speaks to you... how do you know He is speaking to you? For me, i will read bible and prays to Him daily and i'l know when He is speaking to me..... try it! it works! n... above all this... you must have the faith, you cant simply ask God and then just hope for it to happen the next day.... You must understand that God ask you to wait in faith and He will give it to you. Even Abraham and Sarah waited for 90 years to bear child in the Bible...... Why cant we wait? I undertsand, waiting is hard but God knows the best time to provide us with what we want! He is God, He wont lie.... its just that we dont understand how He look after us sometimes.... Prayer is the best answer.....Pray and wait upon Him.

Where did Jesus say that? I don't recall seeing anything like it in the Bible. For your information, he taught people to pray to the Father, not him. (Matthew 6:9)
He did not lie. He simply did not say anything like it.

He also said it is done as you believe. You know (believe) very well Jesus is not going to appear to you. You block your reception of your own true state, and place the "explanation" outside yourself.

Ashley, you need about 100 more or so sermons to carefully mess with your head and convince you that he really is there (in spirit of course).
Actually I do believe in higher "energies" myself, I just don't believe in religion, and in a books because the books themselves tell you to follow them." That stuff is just ultra ripe for abuse of people and power. That's the stuff wars, violations of civil rights, torture, crusades and jihads are made of.

Christ is the feeling. If the feeling crosses the limit you can see any shape (as Jesus or other person who you believe as God).
So you must get the feeling.

so you expecting to see jesus in person, is that what you mean? praying, believing in him are very precious to him.,how you can find jesus? its in your heart , its within your inner self. close your eyes while praying you will see him, meditation and believing are the way of seeing him. amen

hey don't say like ti's {Jesus have his Owen Day that u don't know so jest give him time .it is going to be maybe 1 scened or 1yer or20 years we don't know or maybe he is note going to give u Wat u ask u know y b/c what u ask is maybe bade fore u u don't know tat is bad but it mite be bad. e.g one child want to tithe fire if u say know he will cray lick a hale so i am sure u r note going to late him burn rite so it matte be the same withe u . u know how to pray jest say if it is u r design i want this . u know wat he is alfa & omega he know's whate i s nxt & after he know's avery sigl ting .
