it drives me nuts sometimes i just wanna holler at her to shutup or tell the truth.its not only family things its many different things.why do they do that? if i had to lie to people all the time it would be an effort as you always have to remember what you said and who you said it to. holly crap that would land aperson in the nut house.but she doesn't femember as many times i have been with her when she tells it to someone else and it's compleatly different. then she looks at me aand gets a weird look on her face because she must remember what she told me, so she does screws up sometimes in front of me. what can i say to her about it and yet i really like her i just don't like her lying?

Whatever the reason she lies its her choice and really shouldn't affect you. If you don't lie it is your choice, so do not force you choices on others, as long as it is not hurting anyone let her decide when to stop. She will eventually get caught up in her lies, and it is a hilarious situation when a liar is caught.
I use to lie all the time when I was younger but when I grew up I realized it is much harder to lie than to tell the truth. I still occasionally lie, but little lies so as not to hurt someones feelings like when the phone is for me and I tell the person that answered to tell them I am not at home just because I don't want to talk to them. I think the honest truth can be very offensive so be careful what you ask for.

She is a compulsive liar. Thats when you lie about everything to overcome your own insecuities. She probably feels ashamed about her family & life in general because of her high expectations. I suggest that you dont pay attention to her lies & concentrate on her honest mistakes if you know what I mean. Like if you know about something that went wrong in her life.. show her that you understand & accept it. Also show her all your failures & maybe she will be more confident to tell the truth.

Sounds like she has a serious lying problem that is not easily curable. She isn't going to correct this problem unless she wants to. Maybe she will change her ways after losing friend after friend as time goes on. Personally, I don't consider someone a friend after they have lied to me.
Have you talked to her about it and told her how you feel about the situation? Sounds to me like she's unhappy with her life and makes up stuff to make her sound interesting. If she did more interesting things with her life, she wouldn't have to lie.

Start calling her on it......U can do it in a joking way even,,,,.When she's telling one...say...girl...un unh....that aint what you said before....She will get embarrassed but she will eventually stop.....Chronic liars dont stop till they have to......They lie about **** that dont even matter....and they cant even keep up with what they told to who.....They just make up stuff as they go along....
Its funny almost sometimes....you wanta thump em on the side of the head and say......WHHHHAAATTT?????

lying is a habit for some people and you cannot stop them from doing it. All you can do is just get along with them.
