rackoff16,
The Muslims are waiting for someone that is referred to as the 'Hidden Imam.' He will be a great politician, and will make peace in the Middle East. Some Christians have an uncanny and chilling representation of this person that is truly representative as a person called the 'Antichrist.' These Christians, myself included, wait for that time when he will appear as a man of peace. He will come from that part of the world ; that area known as the ancient Selcuid kingdom.

That includes; Iran, Iraq, Syria,Jordan, and even reaches deep into Asia.

Muslims do not have a central religious leader now like the Pope for christains. But for any kind of social/religious problem occurs then the Ulema(The Islamic Scholars) from around the world discuss them and issues a joint statement.

In Islamic world every Muslim think he is a great leader. And he is going to bring back the glory to Muslim world. Now a days Gen Mushraf of Pakistan is thinking he is great leader. Usually the so called leaders of Pakistan claim them selves as a leader of whole muslim world but in fact they even cant solve the minor problems of their own country.

I don't know, but I wish they really have a real efficient leader. A leader who will not use Islam to cause damage to world. A leader who will not hate Jews, Christan's and Hindus. A leader who will only think about welfare of human being as all humans are creation of God. One who will realize that giving life and taking life is right of God. A leader who will stop Iran from making his nuclear bomb, which everybody knows is advancing for the destruction in future.....a leader who's motto will be
LIVE AND LET LIVE.......
I WISH...........

There is no such thing in Islam. Osama bin Laden is a political leader not a religious leader. But we have a lot of religion scholars who we refer to for advise on our religion-related practices. Yusuf Al Qaradawi whose name is mentioned in the above answer is one of these scholars but he's not a leader as every Muslim is his own leader in worshiping God using Quran & Hadith as guidance.

& the one who said Saddam, you're funny.. thanks for the joke.

The most famous would be Bin Laden, who is most widely admired in middle east. The Koran instructs to commit Jihad on unbelievers and if they will not convert to kill them. This practiced but recently America saved a man in Afghanistan.
The lack of forgiveness in the Koran, shows why many are prone to violence in the middle east, more than some nations. The Koran should be edited.
