I'm 19wks. pregnant, my boyfriend lives in a different state. He has a job and stuff but instead of trying to support me. He keeps giving his money to his mom and grandfather. He doesn't understand why I get mad, we have no money saved yet! He won't consider adoption or signing over his parental rights. He wants to be there for his child but he doing nothing to help me. What can I do? He says he'll take me to court for custody and vistations rights. He says he won't sign any papers I give him. If I ake him to court, can I get him to sign over his rights? Or be forced into adoption?

You could take him to court but that gets costly. You could give him an ultimatum! You could tell thim that he can
1) Start giving you money for the baby or you will take him to court for money and see what he says.
2) Tell him that if he wants you to have the child you want child support in order to see the child
3) tell him that if he doesnt step up and be a man you will take him to court and get them to have him sign over his parental rights.

thats basically what my mom said to my dad and he chose to step up and be a man so you can try but my experiance with most men is that they want everything but dont want to put anything into it. Hopefully things turn out ok for you

If you are going to give the baby up for adoption, why on earth wouldn't you let the father have custody?? I understand you are having issues with money, etc., but really out of spite, you would give your child up for adoption and not let the father have the baby? I think you sound pretty selfish myself.
If you are keeping the baby, then go to court and demand a DNA test. Once the test proves it's his, then the courts will make him pay AND will give him visitation rights. This is his baby too. You can't keep him from the baby.

being able to bring a child into this world is a true blessing and i have two step daughters that i love to death and it really makes me upset with women that lay down and are blessed to get pregnant and over money is willing to give there child up i have been trying to get pregnant for 4 years and it kills me when i am not getting no where us as women have strength there are single women raising kids by there selves everywhere i know you are pregnant but there is allot of help out there and i am sure the father will come to his right mind once the child is born don't do something you will regret he says he wants to be in the child's life don't take that from him once the baby is here friend of the court will make sure he takes care of the child and the state will help you with everything else good luck

if does not support you then he should learn to be a father not his parent but atleast you child come first just do what is right and all the document you get after birth if you do everything by yourself the court will give you all the right to raise your child so you better think of what to do.if you are independent just keep the money till you have your child and the paper or the money you pay till help in court but he his a pain in ***.i wish you all the best

you can't be forced to into adoption. considering that your boyfriend doen't suport you or help you with anything, he can't gain custody or visatation rights. if you go to court he wil be forced to pay childsuport. you can go to court and force im to sign over his parental right, he wil be forced to sign it, because he is never there and he doesn'y help you. just remember things can get really ugly in court! good luck

TAKE HIM TO COURT NOW.......FOR SUPPORT.. DON'T PLAY AROUND.
DOCTOR BILLS ECT MUST BE PAID AND MONEY SHOULD BE SAVED UP FOR THE CHILD WHEN IT ARRIVES.
LET THE JUDGE HANDLE IT,
DON'T YOU TRY....

SOCIAL SERVICES AND THE JUDGE CAN SETTLE IT..
YOU CAN BE NICE AND JUST SAY I LISTEN TO THE JUDGE AND YOU WILL TOO.
