Does anyone visit the Holmbush Tesco Shoreham-by-sea,U.K.?
Do you agree that Tescos have peaked and that they are just too greedy, snatching all the sales from independent high street retailers?Soon we will have monstrous hypermarkets and no individual high street shops.

What does this have to do with Thailand? Although I guess some Thai retailers are unhappy with foreign multinational retailers such as Tesco Lotus opening here and taking away trade from locally owned businesses.

weird to have the question in Thailand, but we do actually have Tesco's in Thailand and they are doing the same there taking a lot of business away from normal mom and pop shop's. In the end there are taking all the business away that's the way the retail industry is heading, the normal high street shops will have to evolve into something different to survive.

Sounds like the "Wal-Mart effect" is not limited to Wal-Mart itself.

I am this moment wearing a pair of pants (trousers) that I picked up at a Tesco-Lotus store in Thailand for like $1.50 US.
